    Is this True?

An Apopka police officer was arrested in Lake Mary on Friday after she was accused by authorities of assaulting a Lake Mary police officer.

Tonya Culver, who has been employed with the Apopka Police Department since January 2001, was charged with battery on an officer or firefighter in the Lake Mary incident.

According to an incident report, Culver lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole near County Club Road and Linda Lane.

Culver started yelling at paramedics and others in the area and punched an officer who was trying to get her to sit down, according to the report. Officials said Culver and a passenger in her vehicle appeard to be intoxicated.

Culver told police that she is pregnant and needed to be transported to a hospital, the report stated.

Culver is currently on paid administrative suspension, pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
