Breaking up the Secret Service?

The drumbeat continues for the breakup of the Secret Service, leaving an agency which only protects high level government officers, and reassigning all investigative duties.

Several members of Congress support this idea.

The Director of the FBI has stated publicly that he wants his agency to have exclusive jurisdiction over certain investigations which they share with the Service.

The Service had better pull itself together and demonstrate integrity and competence, or the Secret Service that we knew in the past is gone.
