The State Law Enforcement Division said Wednesday that Donald "Doug" Ross Jr., 28, had been arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.
SLED said Ross fought with a woman last month, threw her to the ground and punched her. Officers also said Ross choked the woman until she got dizzy and poured water into her nose and mouth so she couldn't breathe.
A spokesman for the Greenville Police Department told News 4 Ross resigned on July 6. Ross had been with the police since May 2006.

Don't forget about this:
GREENVILLE, S.C. --
Malcolm Fuller, 28, of Maxeva Lane, Greenville, is charged with Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
According to arrest warrants, Fuller knowingly and willfully encouraged a 16-year-old female to take sexually explicit photographs of herself and send those images to Fuller’s personal cell phone.
Those pictures also showed the teen engaged in a sexually explicit act. The crimes happened on or about December 13, 2009 in Greenville County.
The images were found on the teen’s cell phone by a family member who notified the Greenville Police Department. In turn, Chief Terri Wilfong requested SLED’s investigative assistance.
