To all those who were inconvenienced by the nor'easter over the Christmas holiday, please count your blessing and remember Officer Jack Maguire's family. He was senselessly gunned down responding to a robbery at Kohl's during the blizzard by a man who was given three life sentences for shooting another cop and a security guard years ago, and was out on parole. THREE LIFE SENTENCES, and was let loose because he completed all of the required anger management, got a GED and had "enough" therapy. How was someone handed three life sentences walking the streets?
RIP Jack, son of the former Woburn Police Chief, a brother, a husband, father to three children, a colleague, and friend.
