MANATEE COUNTY - State agents have concluded that Sheena Morris killed herself.
According to a report delivered Wednesday by Assistant State Attorney Arthur Brown III, an investigation by special agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement shows no evidence of a homicide.
No charges will be filed.

Perhaps you knew that hiring these people would give you enough momentum to get people on the Kelly Osborn express and people would run scared. In fact that was short lived. The people you gained traction with are in fact really brave when they are behind a computer 1500 miles away from Florida and have no knowledge of the REAL facts. People will read the in depth conclusion to your daughter's death investigation and will read the detailed scientific conclusions. These people are undoubtedly smarter than you, and your internet warriors.
How does it feel to seek money for your daughter's death and to have spent it only for your own means? Only to show nothing for it.
You've only created a bad image for you and your kid. Whenever someone thinks about this, it will only be how are disgraceful you are as a mom. You are truly a bad person. So are your friends that traveled off of Sheena's dime.

It's really hard to tell people what they don't want to hear sometimes, says Bradenton Beach Police Sergeant Detective Lenard Diaz, who concluded suicide when he first investigated the case, and the FDLE review cited experts who said that Morris had no signs of head injury or smothering to knock her out to put her in the shower where she died. It also a psychologist's determination that Morris had "multiple risk factors consistent with individuals who commit suicide." In short, the State Attorney and FDLE decided, Diaz had it right from the start. You can't get vindication from a case like this, he says.
I learned how to take a lot of punches, Diaz says. I learned that sometimes regardless of how people feel about certain ways you do your investigation, you're not going to make them happy.
Diaz says he would not change the way he investigated the case, but says he wished that he could have found a way to keep the lines of communication open with the Osborn family, and maybe that would have brought this conclusion sooner.
