No real recruiter per say. The one who has done most of the recruiting ie: conventions and expo's would be the crime prevention detective.

Just call 813-870-8760 X1 and ask to speek with someone about police employment questions. The dispatcher may try and direct you to the county office downtown as TIA cops are actually employees of Hillsborough County. Tell the dispatcher that you have questions that only a current member of the department could answer and they will find the most qualified member on duty for you to speak with, or leave a message for the crime prevention detective to call you back.

In order of occurance, we have a PAT test, then Oral Board, Polygraph, Background, Psych (Skotco), and Medical.

The process usally takes 1-3 months from your PAT test on. Depending on your background, our investigators here are usally quick as they only do backgrounds on those who the administration wishes to hire.
