View Full Version : Combating Gang Violence in Palm Beach County

01-17-2007, 10:37 PM
In Palm Beach County, the root system of the evil tree of gang violence is over-fertilized by our 15th Judicial Circuit Court Judges who regularly approve "smack-on-the-hand" State Attorney plea deals for local thugs, thereby permitting them to continue their criminal careers without fear of severe accountability.

One immediate solution would be for Cities and Towns to send "Legislative Resolutions" to our Chief Judge (expressing displeasure with light sentences given to repeat offenders) each and every time an innocent citizen falls victim to a local criminal who historically spent less time in jail, than the time it would take to read his or her prior Rap Sheet. Let us take back our communities by shining the light (and rightfully so) on Judges who are more than willing to "skip work" by clearing judicial case loads via their approval of lenient plea deals fed to the Court by the State Attorney's Office.

Considering my friends in law enforcement constantly tell me how frustrating it is to arrest a thug over-and-over again, only to see the same slime bag out on the streets preying on the good people of our State, perhaps it is high time the FDLE Administration consider lobbying our Chief Judges in this regard so the thugs won't think law and order is a joke.
