COPS BRIEFS -- Sheriff's employee faces porn charges
SARASOTA -- A Manatee County sheriff's fiscal services employee was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of child pornography.
Stephen C. Seaburg, 59, said he downloaded child porn from the Internet because he was curious, according to sheriff's reports.
A teenager found some of the images at her mother's house in Sarasota, where Seaburg lives, according to a Sarasota sheriff's report.
Officials reported finding more than 100 images of child porn on two CDs. A folder contained about 30 images of child pornography that were copied from a Web site.
It was not immediately known Wednesday how long Seaburg has worked for the Sheriff's Office. He could not be reached for comment.
