Man wanted in ATV shooting captured

NORTH PORT -- A man accused of shooting at a North Port police officer has been arrested, police said.
Todd Alan Lynn, 38, of North Port is charged with attempted murder. He is accused of firing a gun at Officer Don Burns early Tuesday and then fleeing on his ATV.
The bullet missed Burns, and police have not recovered the firearm.
Lynn was identified in a photo lineup, and a Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputy spotted him in South Venice Thursday morning.
Wow i just read about it. Kind of hits home when you know a few of the NPPD guys that used to work here. Stay safe guys good to see you caught the low life.
