HCSO Laptop Location

FYI HCSO Future Laptop location will remain inside of vehicle instead of trunk area. :shock: Once again, another wise decision. This is what happens when you make the users participation count in decision making. :D :D :D

I was not being sarcastic, and I actually believe if left up to others the laptops would have been installed in the trunk. The radio shop actually had 2 vehicles outfitted with this set up, that had a docking station mounted to a drawer assembly made by Havis. :)

Guess what a computer's greatest enemy is? HEAT...do the math. Think any comm system problems you have now are bad. Put that bad boy in the trunk and after a while...silicon goo. :shock:

The cabin space of my car gets much hotter than the trunk. Plus these laptops are made to withstand extreme temperatures.
