ha ha good one, after your first year you may get a beater if you live in an apartment in the city because no one can afford to buy a house with such lousy pay. Hey someone has to be at the bottom!

after yaer probation, if you live within city limits you will receive a take home vehicle. If you live within the county of Manatee you will receive a take home when they are available. At this point in time almost every Officer that works for BPD that lives in Manatee County has a take home vehicle. They only ones who dont are either on probabtion, or live outside Manatee County

Yes we have take home cars. Now we can get into a rotation and replace the old ones and looks like the starting salary in going to be $37,000. Its getting better here!!!!!

I just checked into that today and only two guys are left on the entire list that put in for a take home. And they will get theirs when the traffic guys get their explorers next week. So everyone who put in for a car will have one.

(I don't care if my car is a little old it does the trick.)

That's funny getting better here 37,000 is a joke along with the rest of the pay plan. As far as the cars go what happens when you crash your take home or it needs service where are you then? I believe back in the pool cars of 6. Yes I call that progress!

Hey please quit--you are not happy here. We won't miss you!!

Is that your answer to everything Admin..???

only problem is yes they are giving away take home cars, but they are leaving the pool short. we need more cars in the pool. When you only have 6 pool cars and half are either in for service or the computer doesnt work your not helping the situation.

There are 8 pool cars.

10-27-2006, 03:01 PM
weeeee 8 cars we are almost a real police depatment now.

10-27-2006, 03:40 PM
yes we want take homes not pool cars sitting at the station--not much support for your position here!!

10-27-2006, 05:44 PM
my point si that there are not enough cars. Budget 10 cars a year and you will never have a full flet of take homes and reserves. Just like every thing else we are below standards.

But hey we still have the Toe Jacker

10-28-2006, 12:02 AM
OK lets all Detectives and Officers turn in their take home cars and pay raises so this jerk can have more pool cars!! What a A---. GROW UP!

Maybe we should have taken better care of the pool cars when they were pool cars instead of trashing them and ragging them out then they wouldn't be in such bad shape....i bet you won't drive your take home that way or leave trash and food in it nowe that you and only you have it every day....tkae care of your equipment and it will take care of you

ok if everyone got take home cars and you are held for every scratch the cars would remain like new ........ if you live outside manatee county charge them like manatee so does 29 c`ents a mile......... come on we all know nobody can afford to live in manatee county and if we want top recruits we should offer take home cars like everyone else does then you would get you small 37000 contract signed .......... take home vehicles make up for the gap ............ and the amount everybody else is getting ...... i dont have a take home car but it would make me happy with the 37000 plus a take home i would sign ........... otherwise noway !!!!!!
