I understand that the restriction on multiple postings too close together is probably an anit-spam measure, but It's really hard to have a close to real-time discussion or post on more than one topic with the settings the way they are.

Any help is appreciated.

Yep, it's an anti-spam measure.

Perhaps the board owners would consider establishing a chat room for real-time discussions.

I have adjusted the time limit. I don't believe it is going to make a difference with the current spam situation, but if it does, then I may have to adjust it back up.
