Looking for an old drinkin buddy, K.Albano where did he go? retire or got a chiefs job? anyone chime in with a clue

09-14-2006, 07:25 PM
He went to Temple Terrace.

09-14-2006, 10:33 PM
HE IS A LT. AT TEMPLE TERRACE POLICE DEPT... AND WILL BE THE CHIEF THERE SOON... I MY SELF AM ON MY WAY TO T.P.D.

09-15-2006, 01:15 AM
he left, is that a good or bad thing?

09-15-2006, 01:21 AM
It's a good thing. He got his retirement from PCPD and is being paid while establishing another retirement at a Department who can appreciate him.

09-16-2006, 03:45 AM
Is Carl Rupp still around??

09-16-2006, 05:24 PM
I haven't seen Carl lately. The last time I talked to him was a year or so ago. At the time, he told me he was a reserve deputy.

09-16-2006, 05:24 PM
Rupp left years ago

09-25-2006, 02:59 AM
Well as far as K.A. goes I don't miss him, maybe he fooled some of you. I have seen the "real " guy and it wasn't pretty. He may aspire to godly things but the flesh is lacking in his case.

look up the word FASCADE

09-25-2006, 03:02 AM
And when your done looking up fascade, look up "facade" as the "S" key got in my way

09-25-2006, 01:07 PM
Regarding Ken Albano. I worked with him almost 18 years. He could be a hardbutt at times, but he wasn't fake. The only "facade" he may have displayed was he was happy to be with PCPD. He deserved every promotion he received. If he makes chief at TTPD, he will be a good one.

09-25-2006, 10:29 PM
Well I never trusted him and I won't give details. But I would recommend TT officers be very careful. He might be a good administrator but his understanding of people is very poor. He still lacks some of the skills needed to govern people.

Maybe he has changed, who knows, maybe I'm just bitter, who knows. But you had better look before you leap onto that bandwagon if you work over at temple terrace.

09-27-2006, 01:31 PM
Maybe you're just bitter, like you said.

Your negative comments seem to be in the minority since the other posts say only good things about him.

09-28-2006, 02:15 AM
Well maybe he is in the minority, but I agree also to some extent, at some point he did a "makeover" where he changed from what he was to what he wants you to see. I haven't had any bad dealings with him , but I did notice the morphing going on.

09-28-2006, 12:54 PM
As stated earlier, I worked with him for 18 years. He did not go through any mysterious changes during that time. While he was a street supervisor, he was a little harder on people, but I've seen that with different supervisors over the years (from Sgt all the way to the top). If he told you something, you could bet he knew what he was talking about.

10-03-2006, 10:25 PM
Well I never trusted him either, so thats 3 people so far, so I guess where there is smoke there is a possible fire.

10-22-2006, 12:19 PM
Hey any chance you want him back?

10-23-2006, 11:48 AM
Are you kidding?

10-23-2006, 10:03 PM
Id take him back in a heartbeat!

10-25-2006, 01:46 AM
I would take him anyday and place him in a much higher position than he was in before he left.

10-25-2006, 07:11 PM
I doubt that was a TTPD person, I have spoken to 3 that work under him and all spoke well of him.

10-30-2006, 10:17 PM
Well you didnt speak to all of them. I know of several, SEVERAL!! that are very disappointed in the person who has come to us. A lack of trust now exists. micro managing and never backs the officer, bad for us.

10-31-2006, 12:22 AM
Has anyone noticed the great Ken Albano has not hired anyone from Plant City yet?
Maybe he really didn't like anyone here.
Or maybe he likes it being able to tell his own story about how great he is.

Nail meet hammer, you've struck it dead on

10-31-2006, 12:48 PM
Well, he hasn't hired any one from here, because theres no one still here worth hiring. It's not that he didn't like anyone, but face it, with the current administration and FTO program, we are putting out sub par recruits

10-31-2006, 01:28 PM
So... you are "substandard" ?

10-31-2006, 08:08 PM
WHO WOULD WANT TO WORK THERE. IT'S NOT THAT THE OFFICER'S SUC. THEY ALL ARE GOING TO TPD. MOST OF THE FTO TELL ME THEY DO THEIR BEST WITH WHAT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DO. PLUS 12 HR COMP IS NOT REALLY WORTH THE HASSEL

11-02-2006, 12:41 AM
First of all has anyone even tried to go to TTPD? You can't be hired if you don't apply.

It is one thing to hire our people if they apply, it's something all together different to actively try to recruit from PCPD.

I'm sure he would never try to recruit from us, but I am equally sure that if a quailfied applicant was interested, he wouldn't hesitate to put in a good word for them.

By the way in case you're too new to know any better, the Chief of the agency makes the hiring and firing decisions. If you don't believe that go talk to the Chief.

11-02-2006, 01:05 AM
Well I'm very aware of who does the hiring!

But are you saying he to honorable for recruitment?

You need to wake up and smell the roses Pal. There is not an agency out there nationwide not having difficulty finding qualified recruits.

11-03-2006, 01:06 AM
"but face it, with the current administration and FTO program, we are putting out sub par recruits"

Hopefully whoever made that statement does not work here. If you do, maybe you want to take a second look at the new guys/gals. You would see some of the most productive officers we have on patrol. Do they know everything? Hell no. Are they willing to work hard and learn? Yes. Would rather see that than a officer who have been around for years and years and does nothing on the job but draw their weekly check.

Take a good hard look at yourself and if you are honest with yourself I bet you'll see were just like these "sub par recruits".

11-03-2006, 12:35 PM
yes the new recruits work hard, but think how good they really could be if the training program, the leadership, and the moral were better. They do good because they are still to young and eager to care about all the other stuff yet.

11-03-2006, 07:04 PM
According to one of the officers who left here, Ken Albano did ask them to put in an app with TTPD. The officer for his own reasons put in with another agency and was hired.

As was pointed out earlier. if you don't apply, you won't be hired.

11-04-2006, 02:04 AM
pcpdleo2

Maybe you should apply and stop crying!!

11-05-2006, 09:53 PM
Maybe you should reread the post or take a course in comprehending English if you are unable to understand.

This was in answer to an earlier post regarding whether Albano ever asked anyone about putting an application in with TTPD.

Grow up and don't put inflammatory comments that fail to match the intent of the post. It gives people reading this the idea every Officer here has the same low IQ you are displaying.

11-06-2006, 11:21 AM
Give it up and go west young man.
There are better things waiting for you!

Please show some intelligence and actually respond to the post instead of writing two lines which apear to have came from a movie you watched last night. If you are unable to do this, it would be preferable if you didn't interact with the adults.
