Is this with the County?

The state doesnt start DCF at that high of a salary, but this a promotion position I guess. One thing with the state if you arent making more than the minumum in the range with the state already, that is the salary you will be hired at and stay at unless promoted.

Wrong! The state just raised the minimum starting salary for DCF Protective Investigators.

Why? Because if you havent had an offender kill someone you will most certainly end up with a dead child because of one of your investigations. Its the smallest way possible for the florida legislature to clear their conscious. Its blood money!

"Huh"

If you do not understand here is the deal. The legislature, your boss and holder of the $ bag cuts, cuts, cuts. Then children die, disappear or are abused while on your case load. DCF claims ..low pay, many hours and high case loads. The great Florida Legislature throws money, BLOOD MONEY, at DCF to leave the impression they care.

If you think DC is stressed by it hiring practices then you will quickly learn DCF has long suffered from the "MIAMI PD" syndrone of the 60's and 70's.

Salary gain is not the reason to become a Child Protection Investigater.
