so I guess it is everywhere. We have to do a PCI every month because our circuit says so. My office is doing one Monday. They have 2 trophies but they want 3, and we move cases around evry 3 days so I don't know who is on my caseload anymore. Public Safety HUH, Circuit just wants another trophy for the table and at the expense of everything else. Talk about lying, we are encouraged to lie all of the time Does any other circuit have to do a PCI at each office every month? I know we all do pci's all of the time but these PCI's are just for stats and to beat the other circuits. Does your circuit require monthly's for all offices? This has really hurt morale because we have to have everthing else done perfectly, our spervisors are a bunch of kissers who do not stick up for us even tho they know what is up

What's a PCI?

Planned Compliance Initiative. Does anyone care to explain how or why we have employees complaining about planning to do work?

Way to go FL GAL. I'm sure your coworkers, that's your fellow officers, really trust you and go to you for all answers.

Talk about people complaining, the biggest and loudest and most overbearing officer in Pensacola has only 10 cc cases. He complains every time he gets a new one. He wants to know why the Dept is pickin on him. 10 CASES!!!!!!

Supposedly you cant be "forced" to do PCI's during non standard working hours according to the higher ups and PBA. They used to force our CC officers and Specialists and then they made them stop when people complained. You might better check this out because some CA's just dont want you to know you can refuse.

We do them once a quarter in our office. Not mandatory to participate but everyone is invited to. About half the office gets involved and it's always during normal work hours. But then, we have good sups in our office.

You guys get trophies? We just hope the SO bring the pizza and water in my circuit. I think everyone should participate from time to time- it's a great learning experience for learning how to properly do a search (no, not everyone knows), you get to deal with someone else's offender and you get to meet other LEOs whose help you may need one day. Instead of looking at this is WORK, try to look at this as an opportunity to do someting other than sitting behind the desk doing the crossword puzzles.

Give FLGAL a break, jackass, not everyone goes by initials and acronyms in this agency. We simply call them "planned initiatives" and don't have to use codes to get our point across. Sort of like the difference between calling a warrantless arrest a "PC" or "CRA".

Man, it takes nothing for someone to attack a fellow officer around here, and now for something as simple as asking for clarification on an abreviation. What else are we capable of?

You have to excuse Guest. He/she/it was upset because the webcam quit working in the middle of a PalTalk session.

No we don't get the trophies circuit does, I am not complaining about work, I work hard and i work in the field on weekends and nights like everyone else and I have a lot more than 10 cases, I do my share of work for others who are on leave etc, I am not complaining about that,I don't mind pitching in when we are doing something extra or important but we're having to make things up to get one once a month and the other offices do too from what I hear. I think it is managers who make those remarks like someone is complaining about work. I think they do it just to discredit someones legitimate concern
