law enforcement status

I am a retired police officer from out of state who recently moved to Pasco Co. Recently I spoke to an animal control officer who stated that animal control officers and code enforcement officers are considered law enforcement. I was wondering if 1) this is true, and 2) what exactly that means. Thank you and stay safe.

Nope

They can right you up for a county ordinace violation, which in Florida all ordinance violations are considered a misd. They can not arrest you. They are considered a LEO reference to battery on them.
