OBITS TRAINING

Just been informed that we are going to get an additional 30 hours of OBITS training. No on will tell us what the training will be about.....we have the C/S screen, the COPS screens, the 23 screen, the 17 screen with all the offenders conditions....What else is there??? Anyone have a clue?

Maybe it's so a certain NEW SUPERVISOR can learn that she should stop insisting that SHOE SIZE be entered on the 23 screen!!!!!

A train to trainer was held recently at FCA. The training covers the new and improves OBIS manual. The trainers thought it was great information.

Didn't we tell DC to scrap that archaic OBIS system and invest in a new one? Why is DC wasting taxpayer $ on that system for training?

When is the legislature gonna pony up the $$$? Show them the money and I am sure they will do it. The reality is that OPPAGA makes reccomendations that actually knee jerk faster than our administration, if that's possible.

We are stuck with a system that is nasty. Legislative changes, such as JLA, as w ell the infamous "Tolling" is making it difficult at best.

NOT MANY CHANGES IN OBIS JUST BEEN A WHILE SINCE IT WAS COVERED. SO WE WILL GO PAGE BY PAGE THRU THE WHOLE THING- BE PREPARED TO BE BOORED AS WE KNOW OBIS STANDS FOR OH BOY I'M SCREWED.
