LEO Get-togethers in N. GA/NC/TN

A few days ago, over wings and beer, in Hiawassee, Stan Amsler, Bob Duffek, and I, brainstormed the idea of having a monthly get-together of active and retired LEOs from the Tampa area. We know there are numerous Police Officers and Deputies who have homes up here, either full time or for vacations. Several also come up to camp and visit.

What do you guys who come up here, think about getting together for breakfast, lunch or dinner once a month at a central location, probably in the N. Georgia/Hayesville, NC area? If you might be interested in participating send me an email at:

Actually, its not a bad idea. Depends on how many folks are in the area. I'm too far away. :(

Hey Tom,

Great to hear from you and I hope things are going well for you. Are you retired yet? Franklin is not far at all, about 60 miles from Blairsville, an easy hour drive thru the mountains. Let me know when you come up again.
