PLANT CITY SKATEPARK

Im just wondering why PCPD is cracking down so hard on kids not wearing a helmet at the Plant City Skate Park. I know thats a rule set by the city and you Officers are just doing your job, but at least these kids are contained, skating on stuff thats meant for skating. When you kick these kids out of the skatepark they go skate schools, churches, business's ect.
At least they are staying out of trouble and doing what they love. Some of them cant afford a helmet... so the will go skate a set of stairs somewhere, get arrested for trespassing, and have a criminal record for doing what they love. They might as well just do drugs, drink underage, steal things... its easier to get away with. Skateboarding keeps alot of thoses kids out of trouble. Just look at the big picture please... dont yell at these kids, threating to arrest them just for SKATEBOARDING!! Thats like arresting jay walkers. Have a heart.

Because one of the first questions asked when someone that was not wearing their safety equipment gets seriously hurt will be, "Why wasn’t the City of Plant City making these kids follow the rules and wear their helmets?"

You can thank all the frivolous lawsuits and people who can't take responsibility for their own actions!

Not to mention STOP USING IT AS A BABY SITTING SERVICE!! If your kids want to go there fine, but remember they are your kids and YOU need to be there to watch them. NO ONE ELSE!!

How hard is it to follow the rules? It it a rule. FOLLOW IT!
If we are just doing our jobs then you do yours and make shure your kids have their helmets

Put a helment on and get your pass.

And another thing quit smoking dope, drinking, fighting, sex, etc. there at the park

The only people drinking, doing drugs, ect are the people parked in front of the basketball courts or parked by the woods near those picnic tables. Dont be to quick to blame the skateboarders... I never see them causing the problems, except for the helmet thing.

WHY DONT THE KIDS JUST WEAR HELMETS? THEN THEY WON'T GET KICKED OUT OF THE PARK.

The reason the kids skating dont like to wear helmets is because it's a distraction! It sometimes even falls down infront of peoples eyes causing way more pain then if it wasnt on their head. :? The helmets hurt people more then protect them at that park. It should be a rule "Skate without helmet... AT YOUR OWN RISK"! :o
