Nothing has changed in St. Pete. Its still as screwed up as ever. What does happen is as time goes on the shock and awe of the unbelievable passes. Everything seems to be moved into the subconscious where it resurfaces during the next outlandish event. Its also directly related to the work envirnment in which we work. When the pressure if off, things are a little more tolerable.

Now we are faced with a double whammy. First, the latest in the Officer F series. This has to be the most blatent disregard for regulations that have ever been witnessed. Not only is there physical evidence, there are eyewitnesses to his violations. He responds that he didn't know and poof Not-Sustained. He's a LIAR. To add insult to injury, other violations (that include violating state law) were never investigated. The staff should be investigated for being an accomplice to his behavior. Mark my words: it will only be a matter of time before his behavior escalates into a case that will be plastered on the front page of the Trib and Times.

Now the envirnment. More officers are leaving then those comming on board to replace them. We are forced to work at below minimum staffing levels, run from call to call, deal with constant city accepted anti-social behavior, document our actions beyond belief and listen to the constant nagging of our sergeant as to why we havn't written enough tickets.

Just plain miserable at times....anyone want to add anything?????

Nothing is wrong with St Pete PD. It's a great place to work, with beautful people, full of integrity and stand up administrators. Just as it has been since the days of DWEEZE!

NOT!!!!!!!! :P

do like so many have done and will continue to do...

spend your time typing your application elsewhere and get out of this corrupt agency.

you will get hired elsewhere, but you've got to step up to the plate

it isn't going to change for the better in your career lifetime

leave SPPD to foster, williams, and others who now rely on you to keep the ship upright or transfer in to fix their mess.
