Going to the PBA is dumb. Klausners letter was correct. The downside is too big. However Tommy and FDR are clueless. They are happy just going to conferences and letting the members burn. What we need is FRESH blood. VOTE THEM OUT. And don’t vote ORTIZ in either. The younger generation needs to step up and take the reigns before we ALL go under

your post is the best, but who will be the advisory committee for the new gen leadership?
FOP needs to establish a retiree advisory committee that is established to reframe and reform a great FOP forward

so,
get the retiree's advisory committee formed, a nomination committee to select new gen candidates
on that advisory board should be a well defined diverse committee
let the retiree advisory scrap out from their experience and guide the new gen leadership

You know, ALL THE BENEFITS YOU HAVE were gained throughout the years by the retirees. Pension, Health Trust, 1%, 4-10 shift, take home cars, etc... There is a wealth of experience and knowledge with those retirees. Instead of spewing that you know it all, and probably never achieving anything for the employees, you should be reaching out to that wealth of knowledge sitting on the side lines. You guys are the only group of spoiled children that constantly complain about people who paved the road for you guys. If you were to use there knowledge you guys would be in much better shape going into contract negotiations and battles with the administration.

On a different matter, going to the PBA would be the biggest blunder you guys can commit upon yourselves. The only reason Ortiz is pushing for the PBA is obvious, he lost the election, has no power over the union, and would rather burn down the union for his personal benefit because that is what cry babies do.

You guys and gals better wake up and stop fighting with each other and support your union. Get involved and make a difference instead of sitting in front of the computer and attacking each other.
