So what if Aguilar Jr. has an effeminate voice and mannerisms, can he do the job? That is the question. Among all the challenges Jr. will face, one is glaring. Can he assertively tackle "MPD's RODed male elephant in musth?" Should the city manager decide not to fire the "pachyderm in musth," can Jr. effectively supervise it, develop a disciplinary case file that will survive the termination disciplinary appeals process, and once and for all rid MPD of this destructive creature? The "jury is out on that, but one indicator of Jr's., capacity might be the number of Homicide cases he closed by arrests, during his tenure as a Homicide detective, and of those cases closed by arrests, how many resulted in convictions.

Armando was groomed for the job.. he is the best choice.. no scandels... no reprimands.. no 33s.. no baker acted wife.. not overweight.. knows how to speak without being handed the answers ahead of time.

Promote morales the deputy
Promote Fernandez an asst chief

Roll back Ronnie or give a good bye package to leave, to include wife !

Promoted downtown commander to major

Promote Lt Valdavia to commander
