Congrats to Greg Tony on qualification. But by law he now must Resign to Run.

Under Florida Law F.S. Section 99.012 which @SheriffGregoryTony2020 swore under oath linked below, the “appointed” Sheriff of Broward County Gregory must submit his letter of resignation as the appointed, not elected @BrowardSheriff to the Governor upon qualification in order to run for the position.

I believe this is only valid if (and when) Toney the Temper-Tantrum Test Dummy runs for Rep. Alcee Hastings, Sen. Rick Scott, or Gov. DeSantis' seat, or any other seat he decides to run concurrently while he is still holding the sheriff seat (appointed or elected) as he takes over the world with his giant head. I hope I am wrong, regardless, he isn't going to be sheriff much longer and 100% will not be the sheriff come Jan 2021.

Probably something a legal expert should look into. It’s unfortunate those little details always come back to bite you.

Additionally, on June 8, 2020, Raymond Hicks, certified under oath in violation of F.S. Section 99.012, that he “is a member of the Republican Party; I have not been a registered member of any other political party for 365 days before the beginning of qualifying preceding the general election for which I seek to qualify.”

https://www.voterfocus.com/CampaignFinance/pdf_broward/doc_569_20200608180039_Qualifying_Documents.pdf

But in fact Hicks changed parties from Democrat to Republican on March 6, 2020

https://www.voterfocus.com/CampaignFinance/pdf_broward/doc_569_20200306172641_Filing_Doc_Amended.pdf

After originally filing for Sheriff as a Democrat on July 2, 2019.

https://www.voterfocus.com/CampaignFinance/pdf_broward/doc_569_20190702162122_FILING_DOCUMENTS.pdf

Which is less than 365 days, thereby making a false statement on his June 8, 2020 filing in violation of law. That will be an expensive mistake if not result in a misdemeanor charge.

Similar situation for Democrat donor Casimiro Navarro who switched Republican to run for Lori & Ron. Luckily, Tony switch parties from Republican to Democrat 5 days after his appointment since he is really a Republican.

Apparently the amazing leader is very afraid of Tony. How about you losers, check his car. It appears he is parked over the parking lines. Send that little weasel Ken Jenne on his bicycle to watch Tony’s car. It’s not like he’s working or anything. Fukking losers.

Wow, is this right? I’m sure Toney will have a great excuse for this one...... everyone knows Cazi is being propped up by Caccastory and Lori P. Just typical Broward.

I'm on your side but Tony was and always has been a registered Democrat. What are the dates he lived anywhere else besides Coral Springs? When did he move out of Corals Springs (to SC or wherever) and when did he move back?

Terrible Tony

You're an idiot!!!! See section 88.012(3)(a) "No officer may qualify as a candidate for ANOTHER state, district, county, or municipal public office if the terms or any part thereof run concurrently with each other without resigning from the office he or she presently holds."

The "must resign" part you quoted relates to this section above it. He is sheriff and he's running for sheriff so he doesn't need to quit.

The Supervisor of Elections doesn't automatically disqualify candidates. Someone needs to sue in court to disqualify someone in violation of the law. The ruling usually comes pretty fast.

So I guess Wayne Clark will be filing a lawsuit to disqualify Ray Hicks and Cazi Navarro. Seems like those two wasted a lot of their own money for noting (unless they get it refunded?).........

Funny that two of Scott’s former democrat campaign helpers are now running as Republicans. Can somebody just give him his pension so he goes away?
