Now churning out of the rumor mill!
If you have less than 15 years in, no insurance for you when or if you retire.
Can anyone confirm, deny or expand?

So employees that have bled for this agency, for 14 years, FOR THE INSURANCE, don't get that insurance when the leave?
So Holloway can keep his 200k plus pay check and Carmine can keep pumping out cartoon posters?

This agency better hope it’s a rumor. If not anyone with half a brain would be gone faster than SpaceX shot into outer space.

This is absolutely correct! If you were hired prior to 2011 you WILL have post medical benefits. It is protected by the Civil Service Act! If you believe the non factual rumors Leavens and his team are trying to stir up, than ask someone in the Legal Unit, HR or do some research and self educate and get the truth. Try not to fall for the fake news!

I’m not sure who’s worse, the person who wrote this or the people who believe this. If you were hired prior to 2011 you get full insurance for life. If you were hired after 2011, you do not. Those who were hired before 2011 will receive full insurance which is protected by civil service. This is fairly easy to research if you really would like the truth.

To be a little more accurate, if you were hired prior to July of 2011 you are covered. After July 2011 you do not have those benefits.

My understanding it has always been if you leave the agency anytime before your 15th year, you don’t qualify for it anyway. Anytime after 15 years of service it is prorated up to your 20th year for 100% and 50% for family
