In an interview with Local 10's Terrell Forney the sheriff was asked if he had a moral obligation to reveal that he killed a young man when he was a teenager. Sheriff’s reponse was "when I’ve gone for interviews, people dont ask me, were you a 14 yr old kid that survived a shooting. “ Interviews dont take place that way nor is there any element on an application that says that i should bring that up" sheriff further stated "But the reality is, in an application process, when you’re coming in for an employment, one, it doesnt require you to bring it up, and two, I dont want to be some 14 yr old black kid who survived a shooting. I dont want to be someones victim." The con man always conveniently brings up race when the questions get tough. I am sure the poor Hispanic boy who never got to see his child born probably didnt want to be remembered as the kid that was killed by a violent 14 yr old with a gun. RIP Chino. The problem with tonys answer to the interviewer is that section VIII titled Criminal and Juvenile Record section of the Coral Springs Police application and specifically question #3 asks this " Have you ever been detained by any law enforcement officer for investigative purposes or to your knowledge have you ever been the subject of, or a suspect in, any criminal investigation? " Tony checked NO. This question I’m sure was written this way so that manipulators and con artists can’t put a spin on it like the sheriff is trying to do. In any state in this country if you kill someone there’s whats called an INVESTIGATION and i gurantee you tony was interviewed and from what i read in watchdog news, he was charged with a felony crime with a no bond hold until his attorney got the case transferred to juvenile section and got him a bond. So had tony disclosed this information, according to former Coral Springs PD Chief Foster, " had we known the facts of the case" TONY WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN HIRED FOR HIS FIRST POLICE JOB. Well if he never had that first police job, he would have never been considered for appointment by Governor Ron Desantis. Both positions were obtained by lying and withholding the truth. He should have never been a cop or sheriff.

People with a criminal past, and/or whom display a pattern of pathological dishonesty are not supposed to be employed as cops. How can you count on them telling the truth in reports, or in court? They (TONY) are no different than the bad guys that lie day in and day out. You can't trust a word they, or the Sheriff say. His testimony in court is useless. His reports are useless. His word is useless. He is a common criminal, not a leader. Nobody can trust him. His family life is a lie. His career is a big lie. He is one big lie. Why is he still LE certified?

The way I understand it then, up until the time he was found and declared "not guilty" as a juvenile (not innocent), he WAS arrested, he WAS held, he WAS given a $15,000, had been charged with murder and weapons charges.
Therefore, the answer, in my view should have been "yes" with an explanation.

He had supposedly graduated with a Criminal Justice degree, and you tell me that he was applying to the CSPD and didn't KNOW he had to answer "yes"? C'mon... THAT, in and of itself, shows what a bad LEO he had the potential of being..IF he didn't know...IF he DID know, but had his own rationale/explanation for it, he should have STILL marked "yes" and explained what happened. Honesty and integrity is honesty and integrity in any state of the U.S., and anywhere in the world.

Btw, if the papers were expunged, and they are gone - there is no way of confirming he was found not guilty of having killed in "self defense" after shooting Rodriguez five times.

Where is the proof he was found "not guilty due to self defense"?

Show us the evidence, the paperwork, something other than what the newspapers and Tony are saying, something other than allegations by his campaign manager or his attorney in Philly.

This explains why he went on stage grabbing his balls. For a second there he thought he was in gangland. Hes a disgrace to the uniform. If they criminally charge this scum, i hope they let BSO take him into custody and perp walk him for the media.

Lets be 100% honest here. TT would have never been hired as a cop by CSPD or any other LE agency with his shady background And thats why he lied and didnt divulge that he was under investigation, arrested, spent time in jail, went to trial and was acquitted. But ive been really thinking how the police got that hypenated alias. his parents names arent spelled that way. My guess, he gave them an alias that hes used before.

There has been a lot of talk about this being more about the sheriff being black than it is about the facts. The only thing that is black and white here is the facts. His application with Coral Springs Police Department clearly asked him if he had ever been fingerprinted for any reason? He lied and said, “only for the police academy.” He failed to mention that there was a warrant for him in regard to writing bad checks in Leon County. The application asked if he had any law enforcement interaction for investigative purposes. He replied, “no.” All lies. This isn’t a story about a black guy who was able to get out of the hard streets of Philly and becoming a success. Had it been, he would have been preaching his story from the beginning. Yet, he decided to conceal it. What else is he canceling? He seems to have multiple variations of the spelling of his name. Is this to conceal more unfavorable facts about his life? Let’s go a bit further… we now have pictures of him and his wife semi-naked at a swingers party with a half naked guy between his legs. No, this is not illegal; it just shows bad judgment. Ya, the average couple can do this – but, the average couple isn’t running for the office of sheriff. It shows poor judgement & bad character. How many school teachers have we seen terminated over the past couple of years because they were a swim suit model on the side, performed in porn movies prior to becoming a teacher? There was a few, and they were all fired for moral clauses in their contracts. What is the job of the “top cop” of Broward County? It’s about creating policy and procedure, budgets, etc. The real law enforcement is left to the people under him. How can he manage a 900MM+ annual budget… yet his recent personal financial statement shows he has a negative net worth of over $73 thousand dollars. He can’t even manage his own personal finances. Now we find out that he has conveniently left off his resume that he formally worked for and/or was a contractor for a company that was awarded a 750 thousand dollars contract from Broward Sheriff’s Office under Tony. The CEO of this company then made campaign contributions to the Sheriff’s campaign. He says he was a former “commander” for Coral Springs Police Department. The former chief of police who hired Tony says that is not true. The chief also says that he would have not hired Tony had he been forthright about his past. Tony says he is an expert in regard to active shooters – the business he was promoting prior to becoming the sheriff of Broward County. Coral Springs Police say he has only a 4 day training class in regard to “active shooters.” Sheriff Tony is trying to blame all these sudden revolutions in the media on the former Sheriff Scott Israel playing dirty politics. What are politics? When you get into this arena you should be beyond reproach. Clearly this isn’t Tony. He was a registered republican until which time he became the sheriff of Broward; the following day he became a registered democrat. I wonder how many applicants are terminated or denied employment with the BSO because they have mismanaged their personal finances, didn’t disclose things, lied on their application etc.? How many were denied employment under Tony’s leadership? I bet it’s a lot. Let’s not forget O.J. Simpson. He was found not guilty and there was no witnesses – yet a prudent adult of average intelligence would not hire him to be a police officer. There was a lot of witnesses in Tony’s murder case. Their version of events seems to be a lot more clearer than Tony’s. Tony keeps saying he can’t remember the events of the day clearly. Thus, we need to go by the people who seem to be very clear on the events that day. How could he not recall these events? If you were driving down the road and saw aliens fall from the sky… that would be a day you would never forget – even over time! Thus, you would remember a murder. A murder that is the only active shooter that the Tony has experience with. You would think after is 10 years with Coral Springs Police Department he would know what constitutes police interaction, what sealed and expunged means etc. Clearly, he is not that intelligent. What about all the videos online and statements by other members of the sheriff’s office who state that they have seen Tony lose his temper on multiple times. Is this how a sheriff acts, or is this the actions of someone who can lose it and shoot someone? He is the last one that should be sheriff, or be allowed to carry a gun.

This is all true and well stated and thorough. The issue out of all of this is perplexing is the bleed kids and a 750,000 dollar payment followed by a campaign contribution. Don’t think for a second that campaign contribution was the only money that changed hands here. And even if it was it’s still illegal. You can not use your official position as a sheriff to influence personal business deals or for personal benefit or gain. It’s a FEDERAL OFFENSE. Bid Rigging can be found in the Sherman Act which was written for this exact purpose among other things. It a FEDERAL FELONY that a 3rd grader could prove.

What you had better think about is the stuff Tony is hiding that you haven't found yet. Did you ever wonder why such a dishonest gang-banger thug like him would go to the polee academy? Was it his respect for the law and his love for troof and justice? You would have to be a fool to think so! His first day at the academy was the beginning of a carefully orchestrated crime spree.

They’re will be a command scattered in the ocean after this shipwreck. But for the remainder of the time they are here they will be isolated on deserted islands. Hopefully a mirror will wash up on shore so they can look in it.

Yes. His birth name is Gregory Scott Toney. When he murdered that kid, he used his dad's name, Gregory Scott Toney. After the murder, they all dropped the "e" because even then, at 14, they all knew it wasn't self-defense and this murderous bast4rd son-of-a-b1tch's crime of murder would follow them, destroying all their futures, duh, thus Gregory S. Tony was born. It's right there on all the Pennsylvania records.

When Temporary is suspended/removed pending investigation on June 12, DeSantis' hand will be forced to fill the empty chair with a "temp" for 7 months till the newly elected sheriff takes over in Jan 2021. DeSantis will state, "sorry Tony, sorry Andy and Parkland, it's out of my hands", and "my hands are tied on this one, it's now a fed thing not a state thing anymore, plus with Temporary Tony's name being removed from the ballot, there are a plethora of names, dems and reps, to choose from and the citizens of Broward, this time, will TRULY pick their sheriff with no outside influence from me or anyone since Tony has been eradicated."

Very good but actually the deadline altogether, that way DeSantis' new replacement is truly temporary and will not have any bearing on the primaries and November general election. Like I said, DeSantis is no dummy. He's not getting "involved" in this one per say.

Feds are usually quiet and June 12 is less than a month away. He will come like a thief in the night. It's going to be quite poetic. The quieter the better. If anyone has learned anything by watching this Sheriff (and the previous one), it's theatrics, and the less, the better especially since this one has his own professional traveling press pool.

We have name recognition and the people Love him. He has my vote and I support him.

I agree I think Israel wins this election and I don’t think Toney finishes in the top four. Too much garbage coming out on him constantly. I do think that Israel will be making some moves in the agency when he gets back, and that’s putting it in a nice way.

Your right I only see four candidates passing qualifications ISRAEL!!! temp Tony, and two sergeants Con-man Pollock, and can't stop smiling Sgt.Vasquez. ISRAEL has too many connections and Jenne is helping him in the background and he has pull. Lol at Pollock with his FAKE COLONEL position that ISRAEL gave you and made you. Temp Tony your credentials and popularity are fading daily. Sgt. Vasquez has a dream someone please wake him up and have him go away. DeSantis is sticking by letting the residents of Broward choose the next sheriff. Tony will be quietly pulled on June 12 and Monday morning June 15; we will indeed have a temporary or substitute sheriff. Don’t be shocked if he’s not from around here. He or she will leave the post January 2021 when the newly elected sheriff takes office. Tony will be ineligible to run so his name will be withdrawn from the election (laughably, they might still be on the ballot which will cause throw away votes) which will leave Scott J. Israel (DEM), Willie Jones (DEM), Al Pollock (DEM), Andrew Maurice Smalling (DEM), and Santiago C. Vazquez Jr. (DEM) to fight it out for the Democratic nominee for the general. It is truly up in the air. Don’t be surprised if we end up with Jones or Smalling or Vazquez due to the splitting of votes. Then when the general comes, the torn Democratic party will be split and they’ll vote between the DEM nominee and Whatley (NPA) because during this cycle, the republicans will 100% stick together and vote republican, no matter what. Which is why, from day one I’ve been touting that Broward County will elect a Republican sheriff on Nov. 3, 2020. We still have a chance to put up a decent candidate.

This guy needs to be gone fast.

It's a good faith move on DeSantis' part. Tony's real temporary replacement would not be able to run for sheriff 2020 as the incumbent, however, this cannot prevent people from writing DeSantis' replacement's name on the ballot.

Andrew Gillum would have treated us so much better. Leader of the Dream Defenders. OK man.

"Police were never meant to protect and serve me and you. They started as slave catchers hired by wealthy plantation owners. Businesses started the first organized police force in Boston in 1838 to protect their property and safeguard the transport of goods from the port of Boston to other places. These early business owners kept their profits by incentivizing poor white people to turn against enslaved black people and side with the rich who steal from us all. And the first American prisons started as work camps for newly freed slaves. Police and prisons, since their founding, have always been about safety for the haves while wreaking havoc for the have-nots.

Plantation owners have turned into prison owners. Private corporations like Florida’s GEO Group make billions of dollars off of caging us. Everything from probation, bail, prison cells, detention and deportation centers, phone calls, food services, and ankle bracelets are privately owned and profited from under Florida’s prison system.

Meanwhile the politicians these private prisons give campaign contributions to pass harder-on-crime laws and harsh immigration policies to make their friends happy and keep the cash rolling in. All while telling us our counties, cities and towns don’t have money for our schools or parks or jobs. But they sure do find funds for police.

We deserve better.

Police and prisons have no place in “justice”. Police and prisons aren’t just racist but they work to enforce the separations of rich and poor. True safety can’t be found where it was never meant to be. We deserve real safety in our cities, our states, our homes, our schools; our workplaces, and our community centers.

By virtue of being born, each of us has the absolute right to people-centered humane justice, mediation, resolution and violence prevention, an end to the current prison and policing system including immediate banning of bail and probation and reinvestment of the money spent on prisons and police into social services in our community that address the root causes of poverty and violence."

Wait for the next shoe to drop. The victims of the Parkland MSD tragedy will soon realize that Greg Tony is a ConMan who is using the deaths of the children and adults Murdered in the MSD Mass Shooting as a marketing tool to get business for his company Blue Spear Solutions. Make no mistake, he is selling Stop The Bleed Kits and Training. When Tony started this he never could’ve dreamed that he would hit the jackpot by being handed the position of Broward County Sheriff. Now he has a national platform to market and sell his Bleed Kits and Training nationally. Why do you think he embroidered the BSO logo with his name “Sheriff Gregory Tony” on every kit. Tony Admits to being in a gang and witnessing murders committed by the man he killed.
Gregory Tony has verbally admitted to being in gangs. Listen to the sun-sentinel video below. Give it a minute to load.

Gregory Tony also admitted to witnessing
Hector Chino Rodriguez murdering people. A game member would not allow an innocent bystander to witness murders that they committed. Listen to the second link from the Jaime Cefalo show.

Gregory Tony is no different than any other criminal. If you let them talk long enough they will tell on themselves. I just wish the news would put two and two together and do a little old fashion investigative journalism. They don’t seem to be interested even when you hand it to them on a Silver Platter.

Originally, Temporary never mentioned witnessing Chino killing people because it never happened. But when his lies weren't working, he needed to sweeten his story so he fabricated another segment knowing Chino cant dispute it. This fool is pure criminal and the media needs to start calling him on these fabrications. Talking about the dead is often frowned upon- even in the ghetto. But I guess when it's a black hood rat talking about a dead Puerto Rican, it somehow becomes a virtuous event. Truly disgusting.

I think he knows they’re digging and if they dig deep enough they’re going to find more murders connected to him. So he’s paving the way by blaming Chino ahead of time before the news breaks. He’s pinning the other murders on Chino ahead of time. If you notice he gives little hints ahead of time for the avalanche of garbage he expects to come out. That’s why he said he was a gang member and did burglaries and all that Long before he wore a star. He’s a fake and a fraud and he always lays the ground work for other crimes. Somebody needs to start interviewing people connected to him in that Philadelphia neighborhood. Something doesn’t smell right here.

Neither one of us knows what happens one way or the other. The fact is if Tony witnessed Rodriguez killing people as he said and didn’t report it, he becomes an accessory to murder. If there were no murders committed then Tony simply add some more untruthful statements to his horrendous resume. The sad thing is, he could never even be a cop with his record. A defense attorney would rip his credibility to shreds on the stand and every suspect would walk.

Lets not forget this. If you want this fraud out of office you have to vote Sheriff Israel. Any other vote will be a wasted vote. Tell your friends and family to vote for Scott Israel. Im not a big supporter normally but hes a real cop and MUCH better than phoney toney. Toney wants to arrest cops because he has a vendetta after his murder arrest and time in jail. Toney would not be able to get a police job anywhere in country if he was honest on his applications.

Lets not forget this fraud leading the agency. He would not be able to get hired anywhere in the country as a cop if he was honest on his application. He will continue to fire deputies to further his blm agenda and because hes upset over his murder arrest and time in jail. Dont waste a vote on the other candidates and lessen the chance toget this con man out of bso. Tell your friends and family to vote Sheriff Israel.

Great job FDLE and FBI and the sheer genius behind postponing the June removal of Toney. If Israel won the primary, Israel would've won the general which would have made DeSantis look doubly bad, even though it's not his fault Broward voters are RETARDED and want a retarded sheriff. But after the BLM/Antifa explosion on My 26, right before that June cutoff date, drastic planning measures had to be taken because it would have been RACIST to remove Toney from office by the feds/FBI via indictment. So playing off of cop hatred and his blackness, Toney won the primary but Israel came in 2nd so removing Toney anytime until this month would insure an Israel win. The feds/FBI (DeSantis?) had to delay Toney's investigation results because Israel would have replaced Toney on ballot. Now, no matter what, as I stated 1,000 times, we WILL have a republican for sheriff because Toney's going bye-bye right after the cutoff date to replace him with Israel or ANY Dem candidate. Did you see what happened in the Georgia house race? Gotta LOVE politics.

Dude, that’s the most intelligent thing I’ve seen on forum in weeks. I do believe you’re correct.

Had it not been for George Floyd's excessive Fentanyl use, Toney would've already been gonzo. Racism is a powerful tool and the dems have that rhetoric down pat. Had the 'removal' (criminally) of Toney been when it was supposed to be, Benjamin Crump would be all over it. This case has already been wrapped up weeks ago. FDLE and FBI got this. Dates and politics was the new hold-up because of Israel's second place score. We're almost home -free.

If they don’t remove him the FBI loses all credibility and does FDLE. This Governor has already lost his credibility over this mess no matter what he believes. Desantis May be able to salvage what’s left of his reputation by fixing this mistake of appointing a sheriff without ever doing a background check, but the longer he waits the worse it looks.

However, for the FBI to drop the ball on this would destroy their credibility, this is public corruption out the wazoo at the highest level of local law enforcement. And a third grader could make the case in a court of law. Being the chief law enforcement organization in the United States, if the FBI loses all credibility, then the United States loses all credibility. And believe you me, no sheriff, no anybody, is worth that kind of damage!

This guy is laughing in the FBI’s faces right now. The longer they allow him to play this game the worse they look. He’s made them look like a very inept agency right now. Perhaps we should change the acronym from FBI TO FUBAR.

Explain what credibility the FBI and FDLE have? Wiping 27 cell phones then handing them to the OIG? Falsifying 90% of their 302's and deleting the rest? Spying on a presidential candidate? And as to the FDLE, I don't even know where to begin but this thing with Toney may be a pretty good start.

Let be straight, clearly FDLE works for DeSantis and DeSantis isn’t going to admit he made a mistake. The only chance of that happening is if enough people called DeSantis and his minions and complained. No one here has the balls to do it so enough with this FDLE crap.

After November 3, to secure Scott Israel cannot vie for a write-in run or Democratic candidate replacement. Unless, Wayne wins on his own, either way, Beoward County will have a new, and yes, Republican sheriff in Jan. 2021.

Do you honestly think they’re going to leave him in place after all this sh!t being investigated? I guess anything’s possible but it’s unlikely. Think about it, if anything goes wrong, what’s that going to make this Governor and the FBI look like? Especially after the FBI screwed up at Stoneman Douglas. That’s the biggest risk they are taking, their reputation and Desantis re-election hopes.

Tony may very well win the election but convicts cannot be sheriff. The wheels are in motion and frankly, have been, it's all about timing. The investigation has been fruitful. He'll be busted as a losing candidate and civilian or be removed as a disgraced sheriff if he wins. Either way, he's gone.

Pretty accurate

I didn’t say he’s be gone on October 5th. I can’t see the future and neither can you. You betting a thousand dollars on this issue is the same as flipping a coin. I don’t put a thousand dollars on a coin flip, only a fool would do that.

exactly why tony will be gone after nov 3! after scott israel has no chance to be replaced or written in on the ballot. when we have a special election in 2022 (to replace the appointed one appointed by desantis to replace criminal tony) or the reg one in 2024 - then israel will run again but right now we will have clark as sheriff or an appointed (hopefully vetted) republican sheriff in nov 2020 till 2022 or 24 election.

Are you really that naive? The is no special election in 2022. There is no appointment for two years. If a sheriff is removed, dies, resigns, etc in the first two years of the term, then and only then, there is a special election. The Governor can only appoint a replacement for the last two years of the unfinished term.

Ummmmm the gov can do whatever he wants. He will appoint a new sheriff IF the convict Tony wins Nov. 3. That individual can serve the full 4 years or Desantis can decree a special election. I highly doubt he wants to keep picking sheriffs for Broward. At some point he has to let Broward pick and elect their own sheriff, so long as they are not a criminal convict like our thug-sheriff is now.

No the sheriff can't just do whatever he wants, the process is in Florida statutes
