Apologies to the men and woman of the PD. Your chief was a patrol sergeant at BSO that was promoted directly to major after campaigning for the sheriff. The sheriff was eventually removed for incompetence. Your chief was removed shortly thereafter. His wife was or still is a bigwig at the school board and saved him many times. His assignment at BSO was to supervise broom closet #3.

Your incoming Chief never took control or command at the Ft.Lauderdale Airport shooting. Was on scene very early. Was seen sitting down in the baggage claim area and stated he wasn’t getting involved in this cluster. Same thing at the school shooting in parkland was told by a Captain from SWAT to stay off the radio or take control. He remained silent. Wanted to have deputies ticket parents for parking on the swale the next day. Talk to the real people at BSO. A ladies man with complaints that were covered up by the previous removed incompetence Israel. Failed in one division and promoted to Major due to his campaigning for Israel. Always talking about when he was a sergeant. Good luck you will need it. Bets are being made he won’t make it past 18 months. Can’t put two sentences together 😂

Your chief has never prepared a budget, nor has he ever proven that he can even operate within an existing budget. He was removed from supervising a unit for overtime issues as well as other issues deemed inappropriate. Wait until he stands before commissioners and has to explain anything, it will be comical. Nobody ever took this guy serious at BSO; he was well known to be a promotion for political payback, and was directly involved in most of BSO’S highly publicized failures.

If there’s a critical incident, he will find a way to make it worse.

I supervised your chief when he was a patrol sergeant at BSO. Complete soup-sandwich that couldn’t handle even the simplest of crime scenes. He was wanded to a major’s position, a position that was far beyond his ability level. Needless to say he didn't last very long and was basically put in charge of sock puppets. Has no business being a chief. This is the damage that sheriff’s make when they give rank based on anything but competence.

But my favorite is the great City Manager saying to have a "firm with law enforcement background" do an investigation. Are you serious? How about FDLE. To the good men and women of the Riviera Beach Police stand tall, you have nothing to do with this loser of a chief that was hired. Nor have you ever had any suggestions or input in hiring matters. This was all done without proper vetting of this chief via BSO. The city talk to all the wrong people, who told them what they wanted to hear. He was promoted to major after failing as a captain and transferred by dumb Israel. He work on Israel campaign and the two are sports buds together. BSO employees knew this day would come, just took a little longer. He had the airport and parkland incident were he was on scene and did nothing. He supervised parkland as a major. Go figure that one out. The employees deserve better leadership. Why would you fire the captain who reviewed and signed off on the paperwork to make an arrest. If he was wrong let him stay and do a complete investigation and then make a decision moving forward. The captain deserve to be treated with respect and have his judgment day.

Osgood was the major giving orders to Deputies to write parking tickets to vehicles in the swale at the MSD shooting. Those cars belonged to parents looking for their kids and this POS was concerned with parking tickets?? Some major. He and the rest of the incompetent BSO command staff left early and stuck a Sgt to make all the death notifications to the grieving parents. Nobody above the rank of Sgt was present or assisted in those 17 death notifications
