In Walton County, Florida, policing is no longer about enforcing the law / ordinances. It is about public relations, the message of statistics and the politically correct spin on things.

What is wrong with messaging of stats? The less reports taken in the field, the less stats to report in UCR. The less reported to UCR the better the department looks on paper. Its a win / win. Less reports for officers and more "Results" for the administration to run on in the next election.

He's had "People" handling his affairs since the day he took office. Most of them have been Political Favors out of Tallahassee that got big salaries and a 2nd retirement and that continues to date; ie, The #2.

Only a few of the staff that are truly local and have been in this community remain in high positions and they are scared to death to "cross" #2 and Mikey.

Morale in the toilet.

Understaffed.

Sad situation under Adkisson.

Why does nobody put JB in his place when he starts running his mouth at meetings? Is fat Mikey content to let this tyrant ruin his legacy? Maybe he thinks as long as he has south county money he’s untouchable - oink oink

Well if he has "people", they sure don't handle the traffic problems in the area. Goldsby Road is a problem area and continues to be. Send some of your "people" to handle the speeders and those that run that stop sign. There are kids living in the area!!!

Spoke with an officer recently, staffing is still low and officer morale in the can.

There are only a few patrol units out each shift, so calls are the priority, no proactive enforcement or neighborhood patrols.

Sometimes it would appear that there are more of the Citizen Services Vehicles out working than patrol cars.
