FTO Trainee Test

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why seemingly out of the blue, we are having computerized test for trainees now as opposed to written answers on paper?

Does it really matter how they test the trainees? The pen and paper method is outdated and since everything is done online now, why not?

To enhance the integrity. Before they could nickel and dime until they give failing grade(if they did not like the trainee, or had a “hunch”). Now not so much, being that the computer will provide the results.

It's computerized because it eliminates any subjectivity in grading the test. You either picked the right answer or you didn't.
