For a law enforcement blog it is concerning that most do not know the law when it comes to the removal of elected officials.

First, the governor can only suspend. It then takes the Senate to remove. Right from the FL Senate website:

The Suspension Process
"The Senate is constitutionally charged with the duty to review the Governor's executive suspensions and, upon such review, either reinstate the suspended official or … remove him from office. Although the Governor has exclusive authority to initiate suspensions, the Senate has the responsibility to make final dispositions of them. The Senate is entrusted with the great duty and responsibility to ensure that the awesome executive power of suspension is used to achieve its constitutionally intended public purposes and to see that no officer is removed for grounds other than those provided by law."1

Second, why would a Democratic Governor if elected seek to remove a Democratic Sheriff who was re-elected with 565,000 votes (greatest margin by a Sheriff in decades and a greater percentage than Hillary Clinton).

America was built on a representative form of government. For a governor to disregard the will of the voters, he needs to be on firm legal ground. His reason will not be because a union wanted a bigger raise.

Go away! Nobody cares.
Do you really believe anything you read here?
It’s all good comedy.

Of the 565,000 voters, at minimum 2/3 wont vote for him. 😂😂

All you need is a good candidate to run against him and its over...

565,000 voters elected the Sheriff on false crime statistics. 565,000 voters elected the Sheriff before 5 were dead at the airport and 17 dead at MSD as a direct result of his "priorities". The DEMOCRATS who voted for him in 2016 are awaiting a democratic challenger; and it may very well be Moss or Pollack who will clean his clock. If Gullum wins, he'll have a candidate to prop up. You'll see how the tables have turned when the donations to a new campaign are posted.

Makes sense! Being realistic though, Sheriff Israel is going to be re-elected for a third term. Don't pout, deal with it!
