It’s was obvious after tonight’s budget workshop that Manager/Chief Velken does not have a pulse on the Village or our Police Department. He offered no information, danced around all questions and seemed totally out of touch with the community. He simply doesn’t understand the needs and wants of our community. Turning dispatch over to Miami Dade County is a big no no. Part of the charm about living here is to be able to call the police department and have a friend answer. Someone who understands OUR issues and know OUR faces, not some anonymous person who doesn’t give a rats ass about North Bay Village. And to raise the mileage rate with no justification other than to save it for our reserve fund? Really? So the can pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars to the next incompetent manager they bring in then fire? This guy should not be running the Village nor should he be running our Police Department. He has no clue how much we appreciate our officers and dispatchers.

Your time be better spent defending the lawsuit against you for spreading vicious lies. Velken is a professional, fair, a man with integrity. Just because you do not agree with all of someone's ideas doesn't mean you have to try and destroy them. Geez we've had enough of you.

How about the city starts offering up some payouts to senior people to retire? That’s real financial planning. Or just show up like the crying sheep you are and piss all over anything good. Once upon a time members of the police dept. cried and cried about how the red dragon pushed politics in North Bay Village using the PBA, they complained about how corrupt it was to involve political functions with police work and how unprofessional an image was being portrayed. WELL, if you stick around this town long enough you start to see people for what they are. NOW, the FOP and some of its members who cried corruption back then are doing the exact some things they once acused the PBA and company back then. Remember when Beaty, Weinstein, Register McSnake, Psycho girl, and some of the other kiss azzes cried to the commission about how we needed the change to the FOP (Thank goodness some of those jerks are gone) and eventually started doing the same things and supporting political candidates... This is all true folks... Now fresh kiss azz additions like the mega-tube-twister motorcycle guy, the bald tattooed degenerate from the detective bureau are willing to take the torch of jerkness and run with it. Now most of the Officers want the PBA back in town and I got a feeling they’ll be here soon. Truth be told, people in the police department suck and most of them should be gone!

Payouts wouldn't have been needed if Noriega didn't cover up and take care of his people. He could've cleaned almost all the trash out in one fell swoop. Instead the trash stays and piles up. Hopefully whatever manager comes in isn't captivated by the 2.
