From the Hillsborough County Section.....seems like they have the same issues we do.



Making the job fun and enjoyable is the key to happy employees. Happy employees treat people better and things fall into place. This comes through positive reinforcement, which this agency knows nothing about. Deputies work their tails off to one day get off patrol. That is their reward. Instead they sit and watch deputies that are connected move up the chain. Everyone should be given a chance to get off this horrid position. Better yet, make patrol fun again so everyone can stop clawing to get off the street. No matter how much we get paid, it does not match the stress of being understaffed. In the end, we are still part of the working poor anyway. How many of us live in "nice neighborhood", with rotten trailer parks down the road, a ghetto apartment complex two streets over, or that section 8 rental 3 houses down?? We dont make enough to get away from the thankless people we help and morons we arrest, so at least.... make the job enjoyable by getting off our backs and giving us more people. Most of us die shortly after retirement due to the constant heightened stress, so the retirement means crap to me. So does the pay. How about we addess that instead of the pay scale and all the new legal garbage that pretty much makes cops the bad guy no matter what suspects choose to do.

Here is an idea. You grow up. Nobody forces you to come on this site. Are you upset that Chitwood cannot find out who is posting on here? Upset that he cannot fire anybody for posting on here? I have not found anything, repeat anything on the Volusia County site here that is not accurate and truthful. If it bothers you that much don't come on here.
