FDLE doesn't have the balls to confront the Menocal Crime family!

1) In Sweetwater, with Jesus Menocal Sr. as Asst Chief and Chief, police routinely confiscated vehicles from innocent civilians. Some were extorted for huge city and storage fees, some never returned. 7,000 items were stolen from the evidences room including 19 firearms and 50K cash. FDLE started investigating in what, 2013?

2) In Hialeah Jesus Menocal Jr. takes in a juvenile lesbian to the station for a U turn, demands she strips under threat of arrest, and tries to force her into performing sex acts. Hialeah IA intimidates the young victim until she recants and drops the complaint. Then there is his massive abuse of anabolic steroids, a CSA class III substance.

The Menocals don't think the laws apply to them!

This is the same Menocal family that started their careers running kilos for drug distributers before apparently buying their way into the Sweetwater PD.

It's obvious RS isn't up to the job. He doesn't care a rats arse about the trauma those citizens have endured at the hands of Sweetwater LEOs.

It's obvious RS isn't up to the job. He doesn't care a rats arse about the trauma those citizens have endured at the hands of Sweetwater LEOs.

RS just wants to be popular and accepted by his SAC's and ASAC's. He's under-qualified and shouldn't be in an executive position because he lacks the savvy of just doing what's right regardless of what's popular or gets you high-fives with your buddies or executive level peers.

When he was GIVEN this position, he toured the regions and the SAC's and ASAC's felt him out on how he feels about the workers, and whether he really does stand for the FDLE employees as a whole and not just the ones in the "Good 'ol boy" network. They quickly realized that he was going to support the good old boys and anyone who wasn't part of that network could be targeted with no care who it was. Doesn't matter if lab, CJIS, Investigations, or where- Older workers, loners, those that had health conditions, or just someone that someone didn't like, and so on.

The whole trying to get raises for everyone is an easy play for RS.. what Commissioner has not tried? Difference is, there has been so much time since raises have been accepted by the Governor and Legislation that state employees now make less than most basic lab analysts or patrol deputies. Easy Argument that sounds like he's really out there for FDLE employees. It's purely common sense and nothing special. What is special is that RS has the Governors ear, and vice versa.

RS is known for not being able to make the tough decisions. He'll just kick the can down the road for the remainder of his time.

So here you have an entire PD preying on the citizens, essentially stealing their vehicles so the Mayor's towing company can extort the victims for huge fees, and absolutely nothing has happened . Also, FDLE acknowledges that over 7,000 items were stolen from the evidence room obviously by the police. All this and more in a department known for it's leader's ties to major drug distributors.
Gov. Scott needs to replace Swearingen with somebody who is capable of executing his duties!

Sorry to vent, but it has been 2 years since FDLE referred to the Sweetwater Police Dept. as a criminal organization for essentially stealing their vehicles in the towing scandal and no officers have been arrested. You could also make the case that the commissioners were complicit because the heard the complaints of the citizens yet added to their budget projections $180,000 in revenue from the towing proceeds. Add to that the citizens cash money that was stolen from the police evidence room.

Sweetwater is a very small city of 13,000 residents. The degree of corruption in this town is so great that citizens are afraid to call the police in fear of being victimized a 2nd time by the cops.

So is this whole thing going to be swept under the rug as a "professional courtesy" by FDLE??
