Step Plan and other questions

Hello Fellow Deps,

I am a current Florida deputy sheriff and I am possibly looking to relocate to the central Florida region for my family. I was wondering if anyone that currently works for your agency could inform me if SCSO has a pay step plan? Also what kind of vehicles do patrol deputies get issued these days? What is the take home policy? Do you have to be within a certain air mile range or do they charge cents to the county line? How are the other benefits like the health insurance. How long before you can be and FTO or go to specialties, i.e. SIRT, SWAT, Crisis Negotiation or a latent gig.

There is no step plan. I am in my eighth year and I make $2000 a year more than a brand new deputy because they raised starting salary 13.7%. Our top out pay is around 62,000. I don't know any deputies who are topped out including the ones who have been here 20 years.
