Well I was told today that I wasn't good enough to work here..10 years as a cop plus 7 years in the jail as a c/o and I'm told by some Dr who never met me, that I shouldn't be a cop. Has anyone else had that problem or know who has? Is this where it ends? Am I stuck at this dead end department I've been at for 10 years, or can I apply elsewhere? Does this affect my chances at getting hired some where?? I can't help but laugh at this, but at the same time I'm shocked.. I've never had any issues until this guy and here I am with no job after I passed everything else and was almost hired and now I have nothing. I have to start the process over again with another department, if I can.. anyways, for those new comers, watch your back with this guy. He tries to get you to go over the edge on purpose to see how you react, then ruins your career.. to those that have already been hired, good luck. Watch each others back and go home safe!

If it's your calling, you will just keep applying until. Our current sheriff was arrested for disorderly conduct and the current colonel has admitted to stealing retail stolen porn, government gas, a citizens boat and also stolen his past employers property, but both of them work here now. Miracles happen.

It's my calling. I have nothing to hide nor worry about and the next department will see that.

Colonel Kurt Hoffman has also walked down a very rough road, but he was still promoted to be Sheriff Tom Knight's most trusted adviser. You should make an appointment with Hoffman to get personal advice from him on how you can improve your chances of getting hired as a LEO. Getting advice is always a good idea. As proof that Hoffman has also had a rough past, here is information about him from a newspaper article in south county: https://www.scribd.com/doc/284194625/Kurt-Hoffman-News

Good luck!

Yeah bradenton psych dr. Talked to him for 15 minutes and apparently I'm not good enough because he's an A-hole. I'm not giving up, it just ticks me off knowing he can do this.
