Second-floor staff members are not punished, but are rewarded by Knight instead. LOL

From the rank of captain, major, colonel and sheriff, we have the following currently in the "2nd floor inner circle":
- polygraph failure for lying about sex with a subordinate's wife
- polygraph failure for lying about stealing porn from a retail shop
- polygraph failure for lying about grand theft (of a boat)
- polygraph failure for lying about steal gas for his POV
- arrest for disorderly conduct at a bar
- caught lying during an IA investigation
- caught encouraging another deputy to lie during an IA investigation (to lie as an alibi)
- etc.

And for the inner circle member who retired (former colonel):
- battery on a citizen e.g. battery on his girlfriend's father at the father's house
- domestic violence (aka woman beating)
- restraining order

These are the kinds of thugs who are currently working on the 2nd floor. Decency, honor and integrity need to be restored.

When most of us were hired, we were oblivious to this kind of stuff. Who could've imagined that we could've ever something slow? It's a surprise to everyone.

Since Sheriff Monge left the integrity, respect and fairness has steadily gone down. The current admin has taken this organization so far down that I believe it won't be too much longer before we become a target for the DOJ and get taken over like New Orleans and Philly were by federal oversight. Oh please Geoff, come back and return this place to its once held respectability and why it was so so hard to get hired under your days of management!

The things that the 2nd floor staff have done are bad, but not bad enough for the DOJ to step in. For example, when Cpt. ///name moderated out/// encouraged Det. ///name moderated out/// to lie for him as an alibi during an IA investigation ---- that is bad ---- but it's not bad enough for the DOJ to step it. Also, when Col. ///name moderated out/// stole porn from a retail shop, it was a long time ago. Also, when he stole gas as a Reserve deputy ----- that's not enough for the DOJ to step in. The history and crap of the 2nd floor staff is bad and is unethical and is horrible for morale, but it is what it is. Monge was a good egg and ///name moderated out/// used clown tactics, but the current knightmare just won't seem to stop. Every dog has his day in the sun. Enjoy it now Mr. ///name moderated out/// because it won't last forever! As someone else noted, Adolf Hitler's reign of terror didn't last forever ----- and the weirdness on the 2nd floor won't last forever either.

That stuff is limited to the second floor and is not a reflection on the vast majority of SSO employees. Please don't blame us for what's happening at 2071.

If you want to go back and dig up the testimony, it's on record in Federal Court files. I was there in person and YES he lied along with several others and was admonished by the judge.

Don, i do not know you - i am rather new but have heard of these allegations. Are you able to say whom else lied and got caught? Be glad you are not here anymore. This place nosedived a few years ago, about the time im started from what I have been told. I have dealt with ******** before and suspected he made some things up along the way. I would like to know whom else to watch out for please ?

Almost all of them that testified for the Sheriff's Office lied. They had already lied to the Sheriff so the lies had to continue. I really don't want to get back into all that went on, here on this forum. I will say that while Sheriff Monge was the final decision maker in my demotion, he was one of the few that did not lie on the witness stand. I know it's hard to understand but I still think he was a good Sheriff. He just listen to some bad advice. After the trial he continued to treat me with respect and like any other deputy as far as I could tell. I think all of those involved with the exception of Mecurio have either moved on or retired.

Sorry but I have to disagree very strongly on your opinion of Monge.

The man cried total ignorance to the actions of his then boss Shertiff Jim Hardcastle. Especially considering Monge was in his closest circle.

For you young bucks out there who probably were not even born during the Hardcastle admin look it up.
Wiki it people.

Hardcastle was before my time but I certainly didn't agree with everything Monge did. The good old boy system was alive and well and I am sure it still is. Not changing my tune but I was speaking mainly about how he treated me after the trial in Tampa. I guess the federal judges admonishment might have had something to do with that.

Merry xmas to all the GOOD cops i work with.

To those that make this place a disgrace, especially ALL of I/A, i hope you find coal in your stockings.

Hopefully 2016 will be a better year at the SSO!
