You know Johnson.. I refuse to call you Chief , because YOU have dishonored the badge you swore to uphold.. by being stupid and corrupt. I worked with you at North Miami and saw you at several Dade Chiefs luncheons etc. I have known you throughout your career at North Miami even though I worked at your neighbor sister city. You Mr Johnson have never changed. You have lived with this facade for years with poor decision making... I cannot understand how those around you didn't see through ALL YOUR SHALLOW DECESIONS. WE DID!

You made poor decisions then and now.. YES prostitution is not the end of the world.. its just a stupid, ignorant decision with a person in your capacity... WOW a man like you has to pay for a woman's companion.. just WOW!.

real classy Johnson.. real classy... NOT!

That's a great one, see its not that the whites are racist in our agency, let's face it, if we were, why would we subject ourselves to this bullshit. It's that the blacks in Miami Gardens are so racist towards whites they salivate at a chance to f$&@ a white cop. It's funny how you cry about how we don't have any blacks in power, well guess what, we did, they keeping getting fired or demoted. Let this be lesson Mayor, you can't hire a bunch people because they are black. Why don't you hire based on past performance, education and abilities? Not because they look like you and they are fraternity brothers. You will learn, you are point blank a racist. In some ways, we must thank you for your piss poor leadership, you just trashed your reelection!! Wait till the media finds out about your new Chiefs past.

Here is a link to the Arrest Affidavit for Stephen or, let's just call him "John."
Pretty graphic stuff regarding him talking about "cumming" too quick [his words] but telling the whores, who were really deputies, that he will try to last long with the two of them. I will be making a public records request for the video and audio recordings too.
I wonder how this went over with the wife?

Have no fears my little friends. I may be on my way to your department as your new Chief. I'm Lube hear me roar. I've been with Miami P.D. for about 28 years. Currently holding the rank of Commander. Nobody here can hold a candle to me.
When I talk everyone listens. I'm the most interesting man on this department.

To My Brothers in Blue at the Miami Gardens P.D.

First let me say that I'm sorry you all will now have to bare the burden of yet another racist police chief who walks among you pounding his chest saying that HE will fix your department. What a bunch of bullshit. If there's any consolation we too in Hallandale Beach have the exact same issues as you. I am sincerely jealous it wasn't our chief, but yours. But if fate would have it our City Manager which used to be your city manager can help our chief take on your city chief's position. Amazing the tangled web THEY weave. It's very obvious that one of the criteria to becoming a member of NOBLE is the lack of nobility.

Blah blah Blah,

I have a better idea, why don't they promote people like Gearld Machurick, Rufus Williams and William Bamford. The leadership is already here. People who can actually run this place and already keeps us afloat. It's funny how it's the right people who get screwed out of positions around here. Then you have to make a Chief right, so out of the two assistants you have, let's choose the one that is a sexual devient. You will never learn. Wait until FDLE comes knocking at the door. I'm at the point were I'd rather jump in a Miami-Dade Green and White versus spending another shift in this truck. I pray for a MDPD takeover!

Why wait.. MDPD is currently taking applications.. so stop talking crap and just GO!.. take it from someone who has been in law enforcement in Dade a long time and loved my career getting a retirement from 2 agencies one city one state .. same crap everywhere just different names and politics.. so stop complaining and go where you will be happy and start complaining all over again..

That's what disgruntled cops do.. ***** and complain..

Secret sexual harassment complaints resurface in Miami Gardens after chief's sex-for-hire arrest

In the city of drive-by-shootings and scandals, a new police chief is wanted

In the world of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Interim Chief Antonio Brooklen, right, City Manager Cameron Benson, center, and Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver G. Gilbert III, left, are fraternity brothers. And all three have faced sexual harassment accusations during their careers.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -
No police department wants to have sexual harassment secrets exposed, after the chief's sex-for-hire arrest. Especially when the chief was dealing with an officer who killed a mentally ill man, while repairing policies that lead to alleged civil rights violations. But that has all recently happened to Miami Gardens police.

The Broward Sheriff's Office caught police chief Stephen Johnson, after he responded to a BackPage.com prostitution ad Friday night. Johnson, 53, was lusting over a $100, 30 minute threesome at a Dania Beach hotel, police said. He said Saturday "the stress" of the job -- which he started in May -- had already "overwhelmed" him.

Some Miami Gardens police officers said Monday that they were even more stunned when they heard Antonio Brooklen was the new interim chief. One warned: "They better get a real chief in here quick." Another officer said "I'm f*&^ outta here." And a detective said, "Sayonara. Tired of it." BSO was getting job applications.

"It would be wrong anywhere to hear that your boss was arrested for prostitution and that the guy who is replacing him has a history of sexual harassment," a Miami Gardens police officer told Local 10 News. "But this is a police department! Are these people for real?"

A few years ago, former crime scene technician accused the now interim chief of sexual harassment. But during the 2012 investigation, police found texts messages related to marijuana in the accuser's phone. She had to leave her job. Brooklen was demoted, but he was now at the helm of the 7-year-old police department.

Miami Gardens first police chief, Matthew Boyd, brought Miami-Dade Police Department veteran Brooklen to Miami Gardens Aug. 27, 2007. When Boyd resigned Dec. 10, 2013 -- after NAACP asked U.S. Attorney General to review possible civil rights violations -- Brooklen was a police captain. He became assistant chief in May.

When Brooklen was asked about the blemish on his record Monday, he referred the inquiry to the city's public information officer, whose response was, "please refrain from contacting any personnel directly via phone or email."

In the world of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Interim Chief Brooklen, City Manager Cameron Benson and Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver G. Gilbert III are fraternity brothers. And all three have faced sexual harassment accusations during their careers.

Benson also knows how it feels to have to walk out of a job with shame amid a scandal. In June 2011, he resigned from his $205,000 a year post as Hollywood city manager amid a long list of accusations. They included bungling the city's finances, sexual harassment, and having police deliver a generator to his parents in Lauderhill.

The FBI, the Broward State Attorney's Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigated him, as he left with a severance package of nearly $300,000. There was insufficient evidence, and Benson was cleared of all wrong doing.

Gilbert, one of Benson's fraternity brothers, recommended him for the city manager job. Benson joined Miami Gardens April 2013. Months later, Gilbert's executive assistant Tiffany Adderley filed a sexual harassment complaint against Gilbert. Benson transferred Adderley to public works, where she has worked as an administrative analyst since July 2014.

Now Benson is looking for the new police chief who will inherit the troubled department. For now, the interim chief will have to deal with the police-involved shooting that killed Lavall Hall, after his mom Catherine Daniels Brown called police for help. Hall's family filed a lawsuit against the department. The 25 year old had a criminal history and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

This time last year, interviews for the chief position were being conducted, everyone was anxious to see who will become our new leader. Some of the front runners were Burden, Retired Chief Marshall, McQueen, some latin guy from Hialeah with a wierd last name, Ralphy, Dr. Boyd and Flowers from Hialeah.

Now lets see, will Mr. Manager select from one of the previous candidates? start a new search? or just continue with the status quo and appoint the interim. At any rate, we need leadership and stability on a 3....

A/C Brooklen, all the best, please dont let the stress and the politics make you execise poor judgement.

CB's ways were notorious in Hollywood. Affairs, harassment -- both sexual and hostile....dating back to the early 2000s. He used his father's reputation to get his position and then used his position as a sick and slimey game.

It was sickening to watch and experience.

The worst thing the citizens of what is now Miami Garden did was to break from Miami-Dade County. What was then Carol City, was not a donor area, but a major recipient of the county's UMSA dollars; particularly in public safety! Alas power corrupts and in forming their own municipality, the municipal powers inherited corrupt absolutely.

Dear Mr Gilbert,

The reason this police department has low moral is because if your bigotry. We have heard you speak about that you never wanted the men and women who currently serve this city. You make references about our police department not being black enough. You only want to hire African Americans who reside in this community despite if they are qualified or not. You only want to promote African Americans despite if they're competent or not to do the job. You're so blinded by black greed that you fail to realize the injustice that you do to this police agency, to the citizens of Miami Gardens, and to the reputation of the city.

I have witnessed you countless times greet black officers and completely ignore white officers and the Hispanic officers. As a Hispanic officer I can tell you this, if you think dealing with channel 6, Channel 7, and channel 10 is a headache, then you have not even felt the wrath what channel 23, channel 51, and Telemundo can really do.

If we need to even reach out to our Hispanic counterparts that make up 80% of miami-dade County, then we would love to see what your reaction would be.

Step aside, and allow whatever chief to come to this department and promote officers based on experience, knowledge, and competency.. Stop making this a all black agenda. what it should be about is who is competent enough to do this job.

Because quite frankly mr Gilbert, if it was the other way around and we had a white Chief only promoting and hiring white officers you will be joining hands with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton crying how discrimination and racism exists within the department. Stop being a hypocrite and let the chief of police do his job effectively and without color of skin.

90% of us officers do not support you and we will never support you until you prove yourself. As we see it, you're a racist and a hypocrite. Let's see how your re-election will go.

Sincerely,

The Hispanic police officer who is losing patience...

Sadly most of you, if not all, who are not AAs are caught in a lose-lose situation. The AA 'community' and their AA elected - appointed officials demand reductions in crimes; especially violent crimes. Yet, they will be the first to decry proactive policing practices that will do just that. Absent brutality, the lawful application of FSS 901.151 will do just that, but given the political climate and the innate nature of those you might stop under the cited section, the likelihood for confrontation is significant. So, why ram your head against a concrete wall? Allow the nature of the clientele to fully evolve and then gather the corpses afterward. Certain things cannot be changed, like a scorpion's nature!

LEAVE . . . Before it is too late!
