Maybe I misread it, but the article seemed to indicate the Sheriff would be appointed by the person running the county, and NOT elected. If that is the case, this Sheriff would be in trouble. He clearly is not the most qualified for the job and is merely a good politician with a pretty face. Not to mention Grumpy Cat Harrington would also be in trouble of not getting a Sheriff's spot because of his checkered past.

Chris Nocco may actually be able to run unopposed, if you doubt me come to our next meeting, find us a wealthy candidate that can fund his own campaign, all of the democratic funding in Pasco will be going to get State races and maybe County Commissioners.

Scary but full of credibility. The last Democratic candidates were weak at best. None of them took advantage of the The Leader's many weaknesses nor the nuts and bolts of real law enforcement that anyone with real cop experience can see are missing here. Its not a pleasant situation for the citizens of Pasco or the deputies who get it. The county needs an enema top to bottom.

Money sucks, calls never stop and nothing is made easy for the working few. It just f feels hopeless here . Im so glad that the bigger agencies are serious about taking Pasco people as a priority.

Theyre manipulated to make them look better than they actually are. Another trick by the deceivers, who for them image is what matters at all costs. They pad the stats or ignore them except only when they serve their purpose.

The calls never stop because calls for service answered speedily, the County Administrator says they cut down the phone answering time to 28 seconds. Any real cop knows law enforcement action or direction by civilians from a radio room is nothing but a losing proposition and the clowns you have running things think the faster you can be run around
is what police work is all about. The clueless have the power and your future isnt too bright. Can it be stopped? Yep but not by whats running things now. Its all about make me look good with the sheeple.

Gee sounds like sleight of hand acts of desperation putting people with little experience over possible others doesnt help morale silly boy it lowers the quality of work and exposes the agency to civil liability let alone wasting that oh so precious joke of a budget. Sending people to sniper school without tryouts? Gimme a break and some clown thinks thats a good idea? Hate to break it ti ya but wanting to be a sniper and shooting at paper sure dont make you a sniper. But then again maybe one day your life will be on the line and one of those probationary paper shooters whos got commands seal of approval will get his shot at saving you after all daddy took him deer hunting.

The agency is in trouble little more than smoke and mirrors led by those whos favorite story is the Emperors New Clothes and its only a matter of time until it gets swept clean. That flush will be the only thing that improves the morale. Perhaps you dont understand running from call to call based on decisions made by civilians with idiots quoting response time and the amount of time it takes to get the phone answered is simply friggin ludicrous. They dont care in the least about patrol theyre clueless.
