Hello, was interested in switching from my agency over to yours. Was wondering if you guys are given a specific duty weapon or if you have a list of approved weapons to use. My agency does the list thing, so it would be nice to know if i have to get requalified with a new one or not. Thanks guys.

You will be issued a Glock 21 Glock 22 or Glock 17 standard is Glock 21 but if your hands are too small or you can't shoot with it then you get the other choices

All of the new Deputies, are issued the new generation Glock .45. It has adjustable grips to fit your hand. You can carry your own rifle you want as long as you qualify with it. The new Glocks are great, less recoil and lighter.

So do you have the choice between caliber or they pretty much give you the 45 and if you cant shoot it they allow you to use a smaller caliber ? Isn't the 40 alot harder to shoot than the 45 ?

We used to give you a choice but with the 4th Gen Glock 21 everyone is issued a 45.
