Is it true recently retired CSB Kelly Parisi is suing the SSO and what are the grounds for such a suit?

It’s interesting that SPD officers NEVER sue their chief or their agency, but our agency currently has multiple current and former deputies suing Knight and the agency. It is a systemic problem that Kurt Hoffman is unable to handle, possibly because he is a part of the legal problem.

Like any other agency, SPD officers whine, ***** and complain, but they don't sue their chief or their department in court. However, at SSO, between Knight and Hoffman, things get pretty bad and pretty unfair and deputies will only take so much crap from them, which explains why so many SSO employees are suing the hell out of them. Let's bring it before a judge. LOL

Is Parisi suing in federal or state court???

It’s one thing for deputies to sue the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office, but there are also multiple supervisors who have or are suing. We even have command staff suing the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office. Most of these employee lawsuits came about because of Hoffman’s legal advice to Knight, beginning with the Bob Graham case. It’s becoming a waterfall.

The word is that she is suing because she was transferred from the South County courthouse up to D1 lobby. And after working south her entire career, she didn't want to go north. Seriously. That's it. I'm sure that she will be as successful with that move as BV and LL were with their discrimination lawsuits. Both were dismissed as baseless. Pure genius. Cry me an effing river.

Apples and oranges.

Zero (0) SPD officers are suing their own agency because their internal practices are above board.

Multiple SSO deputies are suing Knight and the office because of gross incompetence. Just look at who has provided Knight with the legal advice that has gotten us into this bind (Kurt Hoffman).

Sad but true.

Next question.

web of lies?

Knight is demanding multiple jury trials LOL from all the SSO employees who are suing him. He wants a jury trial for former Deputy Jennifer Byrd’s case against him. He wants a jury trial for current Captain Richard Mottola’s case against him. He wants a jury trial for current Sergeant Chris Iorio’s case against him. Will he also want a jury trial for Kelly Parisi’s case against him too? Maybe Kurt Hoffman can provide some screwed up legal advice to help the agency look good? Oops, never mind! It was Hoffman’s legal advice that caused us to payout almost a million bucks to former Sergeant Bob Graham instead of going to trial in federal court! LOL

Oh what a web we weave when we attempt to deceive.

Those are only the people who have formally filed lawsuits. There are many others who have not filed lawsuits who are extremely disenchanted with the current ministration. And you can take that to the bank and cash it.

All the lawsuits by employees make Knight and Hoffman very uncomfortable because they never know when it’s going to blow up into a series of exposé newspaper articles about all the crap that is going on inside the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office (or the crap that may potentially be revealed). Revealing hidden crap is worse for our image (or actually for Knight’s and Hoffman’s fake image) and that’s what scares them the most.
