Both are local women. Both crimes took place at home and both women regret what they did. How can it make sense that one woman got two years in prison for killing her dog, while the other woman gets one year in jail for killing her husband?

That would be because she accidentally ran her husband over while drunk and the other lady purposefully killed the dog in a cruel way.

So you're saying we send people to jail when they have no criminal intent to commit a crime? We send people to jail for accidents? A woman goes to jail for less than a year for killing her husband, while another woman goes to prison for two years for killing her dog. No matter how you slice it, it's effed up!

The dog's life is clearly more valuable than the man's life.
