I here another CST member has resigned. So who is putting in for the position?

What does the CST really do? They need to be disbanded and assigned to squads to work the roads

What is being over looked is that 3 of the 4 original members is no longer in the unit. What is the root of the problem?

Everyone knows the root of the problem, it's their so called Supervisor. What is he really supervising, he is in the station more then on the streets. I don't see how CST has really made a difference in the city.

What will it take for Chief to realize 99% of patrol lacks confidence in Dorman and 100% of the members he supervises lacks confidence in him as well. Change is needed within CST starting with Dorman! Please Chief do the right thing for this department!

What you dont seem to realise is that in chiefs opinion dorman is doing a good job. In other words, what anyone else thinks doesnt matter. Why dont you grow up and do your job. Maybe you will get picked for cst next time. And NONE of the guys in cst are the original members either. The whole cst thing has been around for years and years, with a lot better and a lot worse officers in cst. In fact years ago bpd had an officer arrested out of a unit that was cst in everything but name. That unit has always been designed to help the chief deal with problems by someone the chief can trust. Someone that will do thingss the way he wants them done. NOT to help patrol. So grow up and get over it. Like it or not the world does not evolve around patrol.

The CST Team is responsible for providing the citizens of Bartow with programs designed to enhance the quality of life. The concept involves utilizing a multi-agency approach to problem solving by partnering with other agencies such as Code Enforcement, Fire Department, and State Attorney's Office, Bartow Chamber of Commerce, as well as working with community groups to identify neighborhood and chronic crime or nuisance issues.The team will focus on the following areas:

•Investigating chronic crime problems and nuisance complaints

•Assisting in crime prevention activities and programs such Neighborhood and Business Crime Watch Groups.

•Utilizing targeted enforcement tactics

•Working with the community groups to identify priority problems and neighborhood issues


They also regularly meet and communicate with detectives and patrol officers regarding chronic problems.

EXACTLY, they do what the chief tells them to do. Every unit, every position, every member has a written job description. But EVERY single unit, position, or member serves at the direction of the chief.
Please stop being egocentric and/or ignorant. You sound like a 3 or 4 year officer or an officer that agency jumps that still hasnt figured out the political aspects of leo work.

Other than the meetings when do they do the topics posted? Check their stats, their "target enforcement" is way outside of
