What can I expect as a corrections deputy? I have applied and am in the background now for the sponsored corrections deputy job.

well, your gonna be dealing with ruthless criminals, a incompetent command staff and piss poor line supervisors.

the budget is always gonnna $1 above bankruptcy, 2 different budgets road and jail.

any money allocated for the jail - equipment, overtime etc will be transferred to road patrol

no set training program by experienced people, most of it's hand me down knowledge.

they had people designated as f.t.o.'s in the 80;s and none ever went to fto school ( 40 hour school)

a complete hands off the inmate mentality, you have to ask the sgt for every action you want to take.

working in the jail is maybe 1 step above from being unemployed.

Brevard county sheriff's office is not a progressive agency.

same circus, new hill billys & thugs running it.
