I made an honest mistake and had an IA brought against me. My PBA did a great job but it ended up gong to PERC. Before we went to PERC my PBA attorney suggested I take the deal offered, which was resign in liue of termenation. I took the deal beacuse I was told it looks better to have resigned than been fired. She also told me that if we went to PERC she wasn't so sure how it would turn out.
So I took the deal DO NOT EVER TAKE THE DEAL...FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT. The reason being, you will not get a job at another department or agency with a bullshit ndeal in your file.
ok, sine my deal I have learned thsat other officers got in trouble with on actually being arrested but noth happened to him, he actually got promoted. Another new hire had a questionable past when it came to IAs and his truthfulness of them.
SO my question would be... is there anything I can do knowing that these othwer officers were givn=ven a special deal or treatment?
