If you can do it better and cheaper....go for it. BSO will always be there to bail you out.

this all started under Jenne, perpetuated under Scumberti. Scumberti's only problem is that he used the ignorant thug thief Ricky Frey and limp **** Moleface Cavallo to lie to all the contracts. Both thought they would be safe since Ricky was working for Isarel all the time. HINT: Jail boycott.

Dont forget this all started with Deerfield and fire contract which they lied to get. What goes around comes around.

Hey dumb azz, If all of the contract cities go, there will be one car in District 5, one in district 8, then the airport and port... That makes BSO an agency of about 100 sworn.

and on top of that....

the port and air port can form their own police dept's as well....

don't forget, the bailiff's would be laid off and replaced with real sworn
and all civil would be nothing but sworn.

a study would happen to find out what positions in the jail that do not have to be
corrections certified....

The cities bailed BSO out by coming over if not BSO would be running the jails only. :snicker:

Not exactly....way back in the stone age, the county commission wanted to get out of providing municiple services and wanted all unicorporated lands to be annexed into cities, leaving civil, the jails, courts and a few other statuatory mandates the sheirffs must provide (they are also Timber Agents!) which all would eliminate patrol services. Nick quickly mounted a campaign and thus, we started contracting cities. Cochran, being overwhelmed with the job realized he would be paid the same salary if he had one deputy or thousands, he and Liberman got into a pizzing match and we lost the Hill......The next guy was all politico and made deal after deal to get larger, thus controlling services and $$$$ (he who has the $$$$ is King), he even made a deal with the state for the CPIS contract. We grew, promotions and staff increased. Brought in Fire, got even bigger, maybe too big but it is what it is. Cities leaving is not good, what many don't remember is the Airport once had it's own PD, Jack Greeny's dad was the chief (great, wonderful man) was a Lt with us when they merged. No, having the smallest city leave is not good, hurts the credibility of the office, takes away jobs and if anyone thinks they will be placed in civilian positions as a high risk employee, think again, it is all about $$$$$ and why would the courthouse, which operates a budget for baliff, simply want to pay more for the same thing? Why would attorneys/business persons, landlords etc want to pay more to have a subpeona served ( which they can have done via a special process server [independant non-sworn person])? No, BSO needs to work with city commissioners and managers, stop grandstanding, a city wants a certain guy as their chief, so what?! As long as he/she follows the rules and is not a nightmare or doing illegal stuff, why should anyone care? Good luck guys, I am gone but I do not want anyone to lose any positions and I want BSO to be strong. Oh yes every sheriff I worked for had their good and bad any every single one's downfall was because of who they listen to for advice. The only one smart was Butterworth, came in, put it on his resume and left for a bigger job.....be safe everyone.
