Law Enforcement experience? What are they thinking? BSO is some kind of law enforcement agency? BSO (Broward's Silliest/Slimiest/Stupid - you pick Office) is there for hacks like Scott to hire other hacks like sons, brothers, sisters, etc of commissioners so that they can all stick their heads in the public trough. This is partisan old school politics at its best or worst depending if you are out or in. bottom line is that Scott is taking far beyond even where the commission feels comfortable with it and they distancing themselves and nobody wants to raise taxes, especially when the moron can't articulate anything about a budget he has no clue about and is Ace Executive Director of Finance, Angelo Castillo is nowhere to be found. to busy introducing Jorge Forte to more city commissioners.

This proposal (get rid of an elected sheriff and replace it with an appointee who reports to the county commission) is terrible. Perhaps something both the Israel and Lamberti groups can agree upon: we don't want to become a county department working under their bureaucrat puppet. Just look what the county has done with their own unions: they stripped away COLAs, gutted jobs, etc. Bad bad idea.

Metro-Dade has appointed Sheriff... A way better agency than BSO.
