Becasue they should, and hopefull Mrs. Welch will read this, or someone will bring this to her attention so she gets ther real story, not one spun by Rod Dave or Michael. Thank you.

Now let's hope Dave Rivera and his 400k a year salary are gone. out of the picture too as she is just as bad and highly overpaid. has lost all respect and control. The only positive thing he did was to hire Greg Lees; an honorable guy that deserves the top spot.

In case you don't know the history of this site buttercup this was originally set up as a site for law enforcement. Real cops talking about the betterment of law enforcement issues not private citizens telling us how to run our dept and trashing our city. The same for his #2.
The same for Chief Mann as he had his chance, brought in an indicted #2, with whom he had a very nasty falling out and had to leave, and has affected change for the worse. Lees was the only smart thing he did. Unless you count Mann's birchwood desk and personal hot water heater for his personal shower. Just ask him. Or are you in there too?

And as far as 'real cops tend not to listen' comment....my dad and two uncles were cops. They did listen. They also knew when to shut up. That's what you should do.

'Malcontents', really? Nobody is complaining about the pay, the cars, etc. It's the TREATMENT, or the mistreatment by the City and this Administration. But you know that, and look the other way. Again, it's not the pay, it never was about the pay, it is the way we are treated. We'll be portrayed as greedy cops who want more money, but that's not it. That's your job, but you don't do anything unless it helps you. The pay, really? It's the way we are treated....not as professionals, but as serfs. Not as a quasi-military orginization with leadership, but as one is ruled by a dictator or two. I am glad their is a new #2. He's awesome, not because he says so, like the Chief, who needs to repeat his resume over and over again but because in how he says it, and to who and how he treats EVERYONE. The guy is genuine. He doesn't try to talk to you, he actually cares. It shows what a REAL cop is compared to a desk jockeey who's only job was to screw other cops and public officials.

Horton coudn't stand you, Coppola couldn't stand you, and the other 2 are just waiting to leave. You keep them in the dark anyway, so I guess it doesn't make much of a difference.

So I say take 1 minute, and ask Rivera and his side-kick, Mann-I had no plans on making this thing work........ and leave.
