City Commisioner pension!

We gave and gave in hard times..yet we haven't receive a single penny in a $45 million dollar surplus. (Which was found on Oct 2012!!!! 5 month ago).

These Commissioners serve two terms totaling 8 years max. They don't contribute a penny to their pension and get an amazing $80,000 dollars pension for the rest of their life. That's $1,600,000 in 20 years way after they leave this place and been long forgotten. We don't even come close to that after 25 years contributing to our pension and risking our life. That would be a nice story for Al Crespo to do. I bet next election you would have a bigger turn out.

We can't get good qualified individuals cause of our low salary, no step raises, no supplement pay.

We are short of sgts and Lts in patrol. We are over work in a city Infested with crime. Murders and drugs sells which occure in this city daily.. And this his how they treat us.

Jr and family and friends say: who cares about police shortages, just shut up and work fools, we make the $$$ and your not part of family and friends. :evil:

Apparently they feel so justified about the pension they receive, then that should be the basis as a guaranteed pension for officers, that's saying upon achievening the rule of 64, 74, 84 or what ever rule they have jerk us around to, $80K should be the minimum any officer receives, I mean hell Lord knows most will do far more than 8 yrs to earn it, so, that would be a great starting point, I mean hey if it works so well for them, lets get it to work that good for us.....

Not only that! Just so we can be perfectly clear and don't get accused of being greedy or bankrupting the city with our Overinflated pension (so they claim). I'm willing to receive that kind of pension for 20 years of service and I'm willing to give a 10% of my salary to pay for it. I would think that is more then fair. I wounder if they get paid for full health care for life as well.. thats another extra $400 a month. I bet they get that as well. Incredible 8 years of service and they get all that free money for the rest of their life ! What a scam.
