Deerfield Beach District detective Scott Nida was involved in a terrible car accident on November 11. He is being cared for at St. Mary's Hospital in Riviera Beach and will face a long road to recovery.

The Deerfield Beach District is coordinating a fundraiser for Scott and his family on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Bru's' Room (5460 W. Hillsboro Blvd Coconut Creek) from 6p-10p. There will be raffle prizes, 50/50 and other fundraising opportunities. Please help support Scott and his family during his difficult time

Here we go another fund raiser for what?
The guy has plenty of sick time and has health insurance to pay the medical bills. My question is what is the money going to be used for?
If he needs additional sick time once he has expended his bank, then ask for donations.

The $$$$$ will be used for specialists that are not on the crappy Coventry medical plan that our great lame duck leader stuck us with!! I hope you don't need the same type of help someday!!

Hey scumbag, did you ever think he's the sole provider for his family? Do you ever think that he's doing the right thing paying off his student loans?

Don't go arzwipe hopefully someday you will need assistance. No where on this post does it say you have to attend. Now crawl back into your hole. Some deputies have friends don't be jealous.

How about Xmas is right around the corner and he has kids. Just because Scott is hurt does not mean that we can't make this holiday a little more special for his kids. Scotts family is worried about him at his time of need. Lets show the family what the deputies are made of. I will be donating and I hope everyone gives. You don't have to give a lot. How about skipping a soda for a day for a start.
