Cochran Mentor's Israel

It is clear all the years Israel worked with Ron Cochran and looked up to him it rubbed off. Israel was amazed by Cochran and sucked up to him for years. Israel is already doing what Cochran did when he was elected. The first two picks are Fort Lauderdale P.D. people, even when the BSO and Fort Lauderdale P.D. don't like each other. That was the same when Cochran took over.

The words "bloodbath" Israel keeps mentioning in interviews were Cochran's words and even though Cochran said there will not be a blood bath 110 people were fired. Israel is doing exactly what Cochran did, contacting those that are safe??? because they were playing both sides?? and sending a message through cronies to other that at least were loyal to the Sheriff "you are out." Israel will learn quick when his friends and ALL THE PROMISED PEOPLE are in new jobs and screw him over.

Those with integrity, ethics and know Israel is going to destroy our agency will not stay or take any jobs from him or at the BSO. People on the outside are avoiding him and will not take jobs being offered either.

True, however, Sheriff Cochran also gave us our biggest raise and collective bargining!

I'll be hugely dissapointed if he doesn't fire a lot of people. Cochran wanted to downsize BSO until he finally realized it was his and that bigger was better. And you need to get over your loathing of city police departments. I'm guessing that DLE is probably 1/3 former city cops so Scott won't have the same animosity that Cochran had.

You will see what he does for this agency. He will re-shine the tarnished star and we will all have to work as a team once again. Stop the waaaaaaa waaaaaa and start making this deparment a true one to look up to. He will do a great job and will respect all that does the same.
The only mentor he has is his father so keep your thoughts to yourself if its going to be a half full glass one. Grow up!

I am a 30 year FLPD Officer. I was sworn in by Ron Cochran during the early eighties. Let me make this clear, the scare tactics along with hog wash RHETORIC this person is spewing is simple 100 per cent garbage. Ron Cochran was Scott Israel mentor simply not true.

I asked Israel about this. He said he personally met Cochran one time, when he was being promoted, and the meeting lasted 10 seconds. Cochran shook his hand and said "congratulations" and that was it. Don't think this qualifies Cochran as a "mentor."

I don't know where you got your information, wheather it right or wrong, but I can tell you this. After Ron ****aroach fired me, Scott was very vocal against the ****aroach. My only regret was that they cremated the ****aroach and left me nothing to piss on!

There is strong, well reasoned, integrity for you. Israel complained of Benjamin and Wheeler’s dealings with Rothstein, then turns around and offers FLPD Chief Adderley a job. Really!!! Adderley was up to his elbow in the dealings with Rothstein and possibly even his paid escorts. Adderley worked to approve the various security details; Adderley showed up at car accident scene at Rothstein’s Request; Adderley was observed posing for pictures with Rothstein—repeatedly; Adderley accepting gratuities, including, flying on trips in a private jets [With Benjamin and Rothstein]. Adderley was observed almost nightly hanging out in Rothstein’s restaurant and company etc. Adderley’s boy Sgt. Steven Greenlaw was Rothstein’s personal driver, body guard and received 401K and diamonds from Rothstein; Adderley had 49 FLPD officers working the Rothstein ponzi scheme cash funded security details, half of which were never even authorized to work the detail, etc., etc. Israel’s choices in other FLPD officers are equally troubling. Some of those have their own sorted pasts, Kinsey was involved in covering up a police involved shooting; and recently had his car, badge and guns stolen under suspicious circumstances ; Dale worked the Rothstein Ponzi Scheme funded details himself, etc. I guess it is all pay backs for the covering up of Israel’s IA files.
