May it is too much work for you?

Do you need their number?
1(800) eat- u know what-----

03-21-2013, 02:27 PM
That would be the job of the rep who made the decision to take on that responsibility even though he is had no idea what he was doing. Oh but he thought by being the pba rep, we would get take home cars. People who cant take heat should not become cooks.

It's not that bad- just look at the terrible contract Bal Harbour has to live with all because of Former Chief Al Capone. You guys dont have it that bad.

I just was contacted by the PBA today about the political screening for the upcoming canidates on Tuesday. Unfortunately I wont be able to attend. I did tell them that in my opinion I don't think the PBA should be giving any political contribution to these canidates since in the past they have they have always told us what we want to hear but never come through on any of their promises. Why should our PBA dues go to these canidates when our issues are never addressed. Our contract negotiations are at a standstill and have been for a long time. We have not had a pay raise going on five years. The last two canidates were each given $1000 each and what they done to deserve that? They have not even discussed new facilities or new equipment (laptops for one). When the PBA addressed the council last year they basically blew us off. Let them prove themselves before we give them our money.

If any of you feel the same way as I do, please contact the PBA and let them now before Tuesday' screening.

03-22-2013, 02:02 AM
I couln't agree more. This council has not done anything for us.

It is difficult to achieve results when almost nobody show up to the meeting. The lawyers were (not) impressed by the attendance.
Clueless will not reapply for the position. It's all yours Guest!  :cop:

If you had a clue you would be able to lead this without everyone showing up to meetings and if you would listen to what people are telling you we might have a contract. No one ever shows up to meetings, never did, but our last rep was still able to get the general wants of the majority and get contracts ratified. Heres another thought, dont have meetings at 10 am where only day shift people can attend.

Can anyone tell us about chief young. He has been picked to be our towns chief.

06-28-2013, 10:32 PM
What town? He is an AH. The best thing that happened to this town was when he left.

Ok Mr guest, why don't you step up to the plate and run for the position.
The position is a thankless one. Now on to you stating that the rep just
Listen to what you want! This way a union works is by majority and what
Is good for the majority of the membership. We only a few show up
To the meetings and negotiations it says that you don't really care or
You would make the sacrifice. You also by not showing up are allowing
The few who do show up to decide what will be presented to the Town.
So until you get off your lazy a$$ and show up or accept the position
Of the Rep I say you have no right to *****.

Town of Palm Beach Shores Police Department "Imploding" - Investigation Reveals Links To Two Key Businesses
Monday, December 26, 2011
Join us as our investigation into The Palm Beach Shores Police Department continues, insiders tell us that corruption and 'unethical' conspiracies are running rampant in the Town of Palm Beach Shores and especially in it's police department. Now two key businesses, "Palm Beach Shores Resort" and "The Sailfish Marina" are showing possible links to police corruption and cover ups. We are told that the corruption could even lead to other law enforcement agencies such as the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and other municipal police agencies within Palm Beach County. Although we don't normally cover fire department issues we are also looking into serious allegations inside that office as well.

Palm Beach Shores Police Department issues include very questionable hiring practices, evidence tampering, sexual harassment and even an alleged "coupe" in progress to overthrow the current police chief. Now we have learned that two major town businesses are playing a role with links to corruption and cover ups...

PALM BEACH SHORES RESORT AND SAILFISH MARINA SHOW LINKS TO COP COVER UPS

Two key businesses in The Town of Palm Beach Shores may be linked to alleged police cover ups, corruption and unethical practices. According to information being provided to "The Beat" Real Cop Talk Radio there are serious issues involving police security contract details at the Palm Beach Shores Resort including how they are managed and protocols which may conflict with police and PBC Sheriff agencies officers "cannon of ethics" and procedures who are "hand picked" to work these details.

There are also allegations of current and prior "Double Dipping" and scheduling "adjustments" by the towns police chief and others including PBC Sheriff command. It has been reported that police officers and Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies chosen to work this "extra" detail can not carry their firearms on the premises nor announce that they are police officers? They must instead go under the label of "guest relations" for the Resort and call the town police in actual emergencies? Talk about a huge potential liability. We are told they keep their firearms secured in their police vehicles (another huge concern). Maybe they are concerned with knowing about some of the prior incidents of the town's police officers concerning firearm use while off duty and rightly so if you've heard our show.

As for the Sailfish Marina a former employee reported a sexual harassment complaint on one of the towns police officers which occurred on at least two occasions. The officer was apparently banned from the establishment for a time period but then apparently due to political pressure from the police department was again able to come onto the premises. The employee no longer works at the Sailfish Marina. It is also reported that the business routinely provides "gifts" to various police and town employees. It is unknown at this time whether the "gift giving" practice is within Palm Beach County Ethics restrictions or not.

Join us as we continue our series of investigations within The town of Palm Beach Shores with Mike Whelan (Former PB Shores Police Dispatcher for over a decade) on "The Beat" every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm (ET).

Can anyone tell us about chief young. He has been picked to be our towns chief.

I would like to extend a moment of silence to Palm Beach Shores PD. Before you all say leo affairs is just bs. When we heard who our new chief was from Pembroke Pines PD, not one person posted on our board from PPPD something negative about Chief Hemmingway. And as we soon discovered its because he is a standup guy and a hes a great asset to our agency. Yet, when it was known Chief Young was going to Palm Beach Shores, a bunch of negative posts are written about him. HHHMMMMM! Maybe some of it is true!
